i’m very interested in learning more about Monty and Mr. Mick’s relationship, maybe how it contrasts with Monty’s home life? (couldn’t help adding the sprinkle of angst)
Monty absolutely ADORES Mr. Mick! He is kind and patient, and lets Monty climb up his shoulders so they can both fly together.
At home, Monty loves watching crows perch and fly around the house. He wants to fly away with them so bad.
I gathered and rounded up all of your beautiful Kindy Thomas' and ran them through a random wheel generator, and we have not two but three winners!!
But before I announce who they are, I'd like to thank all of you guys for continuing to support our little kindy blog! We started this because @edmcmayonnaise had a wonderful idea and a wonderful set of kids with wonderful stories. They're each such distinct characters with specific personalities, and we thought you would all love them as much as we loved them.
This world is very much removed from canon (although we love any and all canon adjacent interpretations!), but it was still easy to see some Cat King hate. He's a character from a show that we all love, and it was sad to see the vitriol thrown at him.
I started this event honestly as a bid for you all to fall in love with little Thomas! And it was so exhilarating and lovely to see you guys draw him in your style or reblog him with really cute tags.
I hope, after this event, that maybe, even if you guys still dislike cannon Cat King (because you can and you're allowed to!) you'll see it's much easier and much more fun to create things out of love rather than out of hatred.

Oh gosh this style is EVERYTHING! LOVE how minimalistic it is with the very limitted colour palette, and the very clean silhouettes! I like how you've added little cute details like his hair clip and boot embellishments, and the heart in Meatball's eyes. Thomas' cat shaped mouth is sooo so cute!

OMG they're both soooo cute!! Loooove the style, I can read a whole series of children's books about this tiny gremlin child and his cat. The oversized boots are doubly adorable, and I'm so weak for their matching shiny eyes!

See how cats are worshipped in Egypt? Well, some Egyptian cats wanted to spread their domain worldwide, so they sent pregnant princesses everywhere, and one of them ended up in a ship towards America protected by royal guards disguised as ratters. Eventually, this princess gave birth to a very special kitten, which ended up being assigned as the king of Port Townsend when the town formed.
His mother, along with royal advisors helped baby Thomas learn how to be a ruler, and once he was ready, they let him on his own.
He is a bit older than the town itself, considering Port Townsend is about 170, Thomas might be about 200, and he does age, but it depends on how many lifes he has left. On his first life he was a toddler, on the second a child, etc.
Also, when he needs a human name for anything he goes by Thomas King.
I took some liberties on his and Meatball's design, but I hope you like them anyway lol
Your art style is so pretty and cute! Thomas’s hair is so fluffy soft and you can tell he is loved and cared for. Meatball is also at total ease with him. They’re besties here hehehehe.
One of the most fun things about sharing a fandom space is to hear and share in all the ideas we have and bring them to life. Thank you for sharing your Thomas’s story with us and our Thomas! He wants to tell his Papu all about it, hehehe.

I thought Meatball in the original was an adorable plushie, so I gave him one and included the actual cat.
This is so ridiculously adorable!!! That plushie will be toted around and loved for a looooooong time!! It's soooo cute and chubby and huggable, and Thomas is soooo, so cute as well! Love that tight little, intense hug and unbothered Meatball off to the side purring to himself. Thomas' little elfin shoes are so adorable too!!

Couldn't resist drawing the lil cat lad for his birthday month💛 my problem with DTIYS is if I draw from existing art rather than photo references I lean into the existing style too hard, so here's one where I'm following the og style (more or less) in my medium and one where I tried to go a bit more sketchy and me-ish!
