Thoughts about my art and how it affects my JSaB drawings xd
Sometimes I feel like no matter what I do, my art will never be good enough. I have improved, yes. But it's never good enough.
I keep thinking about the JSaB zine.
I really love JSaB, with all my life, words cannot actually describe how much I love that game. So you have no idea how happy it makes me to see things that are able to show that love in a significant way.
So it really pained me that I was not able to get my appliance approved for it, that I'm not good enough, and because of my lack of skill I'm not able to properly show my love for JSaB
I'm not complaining about the zine or anything, at the contrary I'll show my support for it all the way I can (I really wished for there to be a way to donate somehow). Is just that ever since the results of the applications I had been upset that no matter what I do, I'm not good enough.
That my art is not good enough, not good enough to show how much I love JSaB. And that is a fact.
I think I had never recovered since the results of the applications, thats why I have tried to search comfort in other things, other fandoms.
Thats why I have tried to no longer do art. You have no idea how much JSaB art I have deleted because of how frustrated I am with it. Thats why I lately have more art of other things, things that not remind me as much of how much of a failure I am.
I have also tried other things to do appart from art, things that at least I have a shot on being better, on actually being able to see improvements.
I have done writing lately, I am not the best, but I think I'm better at it then drawing, and I have notice how I have improved.
The same with music, I have way too much to yet learn, but at least Im happy to being able to learn more, to improve.
I really dont want to draw anymore, it just makes me sadder in the end, but no matter how much I try, I keep going back to it. I suppose I enjoy it way too much to leave it. No matter how much I suck at it, no matter how much I hate everything that I make. I keep going back.
I'm apologize for making a post like this, I know that no one is here to see this things. Is just that this thing have been tormenting me for a while and I needed to get off of my chest somehow
Hey, if I'm going to be real, I'm kinda running into the same problem, just with a different cause. I may have not gone through the same thing you did but I can certainly try to understand. This probably doesn't help much but please understand that I grew up being able to speak my own native language (and instead speaking English) since I was 5! Trying to converse and talk is really difficult for me to do. With that aside I hope you find something you enjoy and become amazing at it. I hope I got all this right and said the best things I could cuz I've got a lot of problems in my arms

It's April, next month is May, and May is Shapes of May! But because we're particularly lazy this year (for various reasons), and we don't want to waste our ideas, we're collecting the shapes early to give us more time to create them.
