Her eyes narrowed slightly, gaze sharpening to razors at the sight of the familiar face intruding in on her personal time. Whom-Oh. Right. Dazai. The guy who was trying to off himself a while ago. Jinx never mentioned him to anyone figuring if he was diligent enough, he’d probably make his way to the news sooner or later. Guess, it was going to be later.
“Never heard of a nickname Dazai?” She took her spoon digging it into her butter pecan ice cream. Her expression fell away into doe-like eyes, and a harmless pout looking every bit of innocence as she could muster-which was quite a bit. “They’re pretty common you know.” Despite that, she wondered exactly who he had connections with to find out about ‘Jinx’ and filed it away mentally to investigate who the fuck was giving out information on her. This wasn’t a big deal, but she liked knowing who and where rats thrived. // @dazailily
He didn’t think she looked particularly thrilled to see him, but then again he hadn’t expected her to be. If anything the sharp look she had given him had been exactly what he had imagined her response to be the instant he slid into the booth.
“No of course I have.” Dazai responded back with a small nod and a quiet laugh. After eating some more of his ice cream, he continued, “It’s just that nicknames seem to be used to hide identities in certain groups of people. A group that you belong to.” He had met plenty of people who preferred not to use their real names, it made things easier that way, made them harder to track. Dazai never understood the appeal, but then again, he had never once felt like he was in danger when he worked with the mafia. He smiled at her, speaking in sing-song tone, “It’s fairly interesting when there’s someone who has something to hide. I enjoy learning what that is.” // @jfc-jinx
