2024年的湄公河邊，滿天都是煙灰，像一個燒山蒸籠。被迫面對焦慮和恐懼，靈性什麼的都是無用的。大象、糯米飯、未成年的按摩女孩，很好但又很不好。載我們去瀑布的司機大哥經過艱難的溝通，停在一個有山羊的村莊，一個小男孩跑來跟我擊掌，他的手灰灰的，我的手也變成灰灰的。

我們住的是一間有花磚和水池的南洋別墅，一樓有馬車和水果，二樓是木片百葉窗和整夜黏稠的大雨。早上雨停了，附近有一個叫新世界的美食廣場、廣場裡放著俗氣的流行歌，我很喜歡。

從旅館走到豆花店，巷弄裡的樓梯間傳來震耳欲聾的鳥叫。

晚上搭Grab去點心樓，燈光昏暗，只有老闆細細碎碎的低語。

兩年前在飯店隔離了14天，每餐都有盒裝沙拉和很大塊的甜點，吃不下就在冰箱裡越疊越高。當時對這個城市一無所知，每天都在聽電台情歌和看僅有的一台香港電視。晚上開燈很小心，除了觀察對面的陌生人其餘時間毫無脈絡。偶爾想念那段時間，沒什麼事要做，沒什麼人要說服，沒賺什麼錢。飯店在門口留下一塊杜松子肥皂，按了鈴就走，走廊空蕩蕩的。

出國後沒再給大夥兒寄賀年卡了，工作還算穩定，感謝所有合作的人們。2020年時又開始用鉛筆畫畫，很難但也很喜歡，覺得是畫給自己的。

去年常回到小時候長大的地方，帶著狗走在以前很潮濕的公園，找市場裡關閉的戲院，看著老人在河堤上走路。
