OKC DA David Prater said in a statement âThis is not Seattle. Weâre not putting up with this lawlessness here,â and plans to use these charges to deter further protestors from âgoing too farâ in future protests.

Isaiah Lewis was a seventeen-year-old Edmond resident who was shot and killed by police in 2019. Derrick Scott was heard on police body-cam footage saying âI canât breathe,â while he was murdered by police in 2019. Olain Jefferson was being detained at the Oklahoma County Jail when he died of an unspecified âmedical event.â Julius Jones is a Black man currently being held on death row in Oklahoma for a crime he did not commit. Â

The American tax system has been deliberately set up this way so people will engage accountants, tax services, and tax software like TurboTax, because those same companies spent a lot of money lobbying Congress to keep the tax system complicated so they can make more money when you hire their services. Theyâre basically using the money youâre paying them to make sure congress doesnât make your taxes easier.
