okay so you got a court date, showed up, and they said "reset and continuance"; what does that even mean
it means your hearing got moved to a new date. that's it.
the case is not dropped. the charges are still there. the court just rescheduled.
this happens all the time in Chattanooga courts. judges manage huge dockets. sometimes they run out of time in a session. sometimes your attorney needs more time to go through the evidence. sometimes there are motions that have to be sorted out first. sometimes scheduling conflicts happen.
none of that means your situation got better or worse. it means the calendar moved.
what you do: find out your new court date. show up. stay in contact with your attorney.full breakdown of how criminal court resets work in Hamilton County here: https://www.davis-hoss.com/what-a-criminal-court-reset-and-continuance-means-in-chattanooga/
