At the end of June, I was slowly roasting in the microwave that was France in 2026 (Biarritz, to be precise) where I was interpreting for various guests at the Nouvelles Vagues Film Festival. Among them were Monica Bellucci, Sophy Romvary, Marion Cotillard, Rami Malek, Chiara Mastroianni, and Kristen Stewart (and everything went perfectly well, much to the disappointment of a few idiots on X and elsewhere). A special thought for Mehdi Omaïs and Marion Cotillard, both of whom were kind enough to publicly come to my defense. I'm truly grateful to them. (photos (c) Studio Vigerie)

The first screening (a private one, for the film crew) of the short film The Relatively Sordid Existence of Martin Grospeiller, based on the comic book by Lénaïc Vilain (published by éditions Lapin), took place yesterday, Friday, June 12, at the Cinéma Lux in Caen. Present on stage were yours truly, co-director Cyril Balayn, assistant directors Emmanuelle Rault-Vonthron and Élodie Piel, editor and sound mixer François Zaïdi, and the film’s two lead actors, Yannick Dyvrande and Mélanie Gallaup. And in the audience? All the other cast members and crew. A tremendous success, a wonderful evening — thank you all!

J'étais présent le lundi 12 janvier dernier à la Bibliothèque Nationale Universitaire de Strasbourg afin de présenter mon dernier livre en date, Couleurs, et surtout de parler et de présenter quelques images en avant première de mon prochain livre, Couvertures, qui paraîtra en octobre 2026 aux éditions Lapin. J'y ai revu ce cher Jean Alessandrini et fait quelques nouvelles rencontres de haute qualité. On Monday, January 12, I was at the National University Library in Strasbourg to present my latest book, Couleurs, and above all to talk about and show some preview images from my next book, Couvertures, which will be published in October 2026 by Lapin. I saw my dear friend Jean Alessandrini again and made some wonderful new acquaintances.

On Tuesday, December 16, I was a guest on the program “Entre Nous” on France 24 (English) to talk about my latest comic book, Couleurs, recently published by Lapin.

I am proud and delighted to have been chosen by Ariane Gotlieb to host the event dedicated to her father, the great Marcel Gotlib, at the Abbaye de l'Epau in Le Mans this weekend, to launch the Gotlib Prize and the publication of two books, all in (good) company: Julien Solé, Mo/CDM, Arnaud Le Gouefflec, Richard Gotainer, Charline Vanhoenacker, Clara Dupond-Monod, Thomas Dutronc, Fred Fromet, François Boucq…

I am delighted to have created the graphic design for the Parisian Netflix premiere of Guillermo Del Toro's film Frankenstein on behalf of Lecannelié Consulting on October 10.
