I've been thinking about this for a while but can't remember if I ever said it so I'll say it now. Matthew acting as if he cared for Bodhi while Ethan was struggling was so fake and I know at the time plenty of people were saying that because he was (unintentionally I suppose) responsible for Fenisha's death but there's more to it than that! He wanted Fenisha to run away with him, leaving Ethan and by extension, Bodhi, so regardless of her death, he had always intended for Ethan to become a single dad and for Bodhi to lose his mum so him trying to get involved as if he actually cared about Bodhi was even worse.

10000% same. i genuinely cringed as soon as they said it. but also found it kinda funny that i never would have guessed it was that—- my trans friends and i have genuinely all just forgotten each other’s deadnames so im sure it’ll only be the cis people who hang on to it LOL
