So first off, sorry I haven’t posted on here in forever. I moved out to Portland last year and post all my work to my official website: www.Reeves.photo
This is a song I put together the past few weeks. It started when I was visiting my parents house and playing with my old midi keyboard. It’s just a little fun tune that I hope you like. I’m going to be posting a little more frequently here. Since I have my website now, I’ll be treating this more like a journal/sketch book/idea place. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Made another #batman :the animated series paper cutout, but this one's going right in a frame.
Under the Skin! - As you can probably guess, I recently watched Under the Skin and thought it was super awesome. It had this really great Kubrick vibe and reminded me of 2001: A Space Odyssey quite a bit. Amazing cinematography all around.
Ash!: Almost in time for Halloween.. Er, Thanksgiving? YES. Anyways, big news about this piece! It's featured in Gallery 1988's group show Crazy 4 Cult in December out in LA! I'm really excited, flattered, and honored to be a part of it.

Hi Sally,Thank you very much! I think the greatest complement an artist can receive is inspiring another, so that means a lot. I mostly just use black Bristol paper- it's thin enough to cut through in mostly one pass and stiff enough to not collapse if the shape is too delicate. Which also means I go through a ton of blades as well. Most of all- it's inexpensive paper. Feel free to shoot over any other questions.Cheers,David

Deathly Hallows! This piece is a reproduction of the Ben Hibon directed animated sequence in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I decided on this specific frame because I find the gesture of the father character giving up his invisible cloak (symbolizing his own life) in order to protect his son's life really moving. I had to hold the light up myself because the table was getting a little crowded and couldn't fit the stand at the angle I needed- so I just used a self timer. This also marks the first time I used the 16:9 ratio for a cutout piece! I'm really into that cinematic wide screen appeal it gives the image.

Airplane!: This latest piece was inspired from working on planes with my dad. I've been doing that as my main job lately, and in my off time learning how to build frames (as, sort of, pictured). That's an old Travel Air for my cutout. I really don't know why I made it so small.. I think I was going to have more planes involved but settled on my favorite. All frames shot with a Fujifilm X-Pro 1 --w/ either the 18mm or 35mm.
