A slightly soggy and showery walk walk up a 900m walking trail called the Monument Walk recently provided some stunning views. Low cloud and a bit of mist almost gave the illusion I was in a completely different country! A great walk is made greater when it is walked with a friend! (That's Trial Bay Gaol at the bottom of the hill btw)

Words with Friends, some time in 2017. Started chatting in the chat function. Then followed each other on Insta. She is Hindu, married a man she met only a few times and spent a small period of time with. I have learnt so much about the Hindu culture just through chats. They are now more than blessed and happy with one daughter, 8 years old.

I help run the tech for our kids' music program our church runs once a week. The room is normally mostly Mums with their children or grandchildren, but occasionally you see a few Dads. After the short program is finished, we have coffee and snacks out in the courtyard.

I noticed a new face today - a Dad - and went over to introduce myself. He told me he is taking self-imposed stress leave from his job as a cop, and spending time at home with his 3 kids. He joked that he swapped one stressful situation for another lol.

He was saying that he could sense that things were getting mentally tough for him at work, and that he felt the weight getting heavier. I applauded him for recognising that.

Some chats are inspired, don't you think? God gives us opportunities to speak His love into a conversation. God has released me from my own expectation to speak something wise into every conversation with a stranger. Instead, I am led to actively listen and share part of my story if the time is right.

Listen to the Holy Spirit and what God would have you share in moments like these.
