I lost my parental rights to my 6-year-old daughter and I really need prayers and scriptures because I don't understand why my rights were terminated on lawfully and this battle is something I've been going through for 5 years now and it is the most difficult thing I have ever had to go through and I need the Lord to be there with me
I will be praying for you and for your daughter. I don't know the situation but I know God loves and cares for you both, deeply and purely and greatly.
You are in His Sight and His Care. Your daughter is in His Sight and His Care.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:4: "Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted."
And Psalm 34:18 says: "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit."
God sees your pain and hears your cries, and He is with you in all of it.
When you are mourning, when you long that things were different, when you don't understand why things are the way they are: God sees all of what you're going through and cares deeply.
1 Peter 5:6-7: "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you."
God welcomes us to cast our cares on Him. He cares about our cares and our circumstances , He cares about our hearts.
Casting your cares on Him can include praying for your daughter. When I can't be with someone it helps me very deeply to remember that I can pray for this person whom God loves. It's such a blessing, at any moment you can pray for His Mercies and Blessings upon her (and I will pray for both of you too). God definitely definitely cares about your daughter, and He hears and comes through on every one of your prayers.
"But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Your works." I will be praying that God draws you near and close in His Presence. That He draws you close and carries you in His Great Compassion.
Psalm 103:4 says He is the God: "Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies..." This is a helpful and powerful Scripture to hold onto and pray in our prayers. It's a beautiful Verse to put your faith in God.
Psalm 145:17 says: "The Lord is righteous in all His ways,Gracious in all His works." This has been such a helpful Truth for me to remember during hard and confusing times.. God is Righteous. And He is Gracious. And He is with us. The next Verse says: "The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them." God is Righteous and Gracious and Close, and He knows how to care for your daughter, and for you. It's helpful and important to remember He answers our prayers according to what He knows is best.
I just came across this fascinating teaching by Thomas Watson about God's Providence which seems relevant. Even when circumstances seem contrary: "...all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." ~ Romans 8:12. God works out even the bad for good, and He loves you and loves your daughter.
Finally, a powerful Truth to hold onto is that God has Good Plans for both you and your daughter. Jeremiah 29:11 was actually spoken to God's people in a very difficult time while they were in exile. God said: "'For I know the Plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'Plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.'" God has Plans for you and for your daughter, and nothing can hinder those Plans. The current situation may hinder many things, but it cannot hinder God's Good Pleasing and Perfect Will which prevails over and through everything.
And I suddenly remembered this song today, which I've found so helpful for trusting in God's Will and praying for God's Will to be done:
I'll be praying for both of you and God loves both of you closely and dearly.
