Please please send scriptures on post partum, I feel immensely alone and sitting in silence or even the dark is comforting in a way I need to hear the Lord's voice right now
First of all, I will be praising God for your son! Congratulations! That is such a beautiful gift. ❤️ I'll be praying for God's beautiful Plans for his life and for your life with him, I know He has so many blessings ahead for you both.
And I will keep you in my prayers, that God draws you close in His Mercy and Grace and Great Compassion and carries you.
Of course I can definitely share Scriptures.
God recently blessed me with insight that I can share which is so helpful and comforting, through these Scriptures:
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ~ Paul in Romans 8:35-39
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are One.” ~ Jesus in John 10:27-30
Nothing can separate us from the Lord's Love, and nothing can snatch us from His Hand. I was blessed by the Holy Spirit to realize that this means we are held by God through everything. All these things we may face, He holds us. He carries us.
When I was going through difficult trials a short while ago and opened up to a sister in Christ, she sent me Psalm 31:9-16, in which David prayed:
“Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eye is wasted from grief; my soul and my body also.
For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones waste away.
Because of all my adversaries I have become a reproach, especially to my neighbors, and an object of dread to my acquaintances; those who see me in the street flee from me.
I have been forgotten like one who is dead; I have become like a broken vessel.
For I hear the whispering of many— terror on every side!— as they scheme together against me, as they plot to take my life.
But I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.”
My times are in Your Hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors!
Make Your Face shine on Your servant; Save me in Your Steadfast Love!”
I remember I found myself praying Verse 16, possibly quite repeatedly: "Make Your Face shine on Your servant; Save me in Your Steadfast Love!”
God always answers this prayer. (Psalm 145:18 says: "The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth.") He is always present with us. Listening and loving.
He is El Roi: The God Who Sees. He saw Hagar in the wilderness with her son (Genesis 16) and He sees you and your son in every moment.
This is a line that stood out to me in a Scripture meditation I read earlier today: "We are safe under His gaze that seeks our company. We are not rejected, nor shunned, nor abandoned." I prayed about the blessing of being engulfed in the Gaze of our Father. By Him we are fully seen, fully known, fully loved, fully cared-for. Deeper than we can comprehend.
Last night I meditated a bit on Psalm 32:7, which is so comforting in the deep reminders of God's Presence and Care:
"You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah"
God meets us in the silence surrounding us with songs of deliverance and He meets us in the darkness surrounding us with His Light, even through the moments when we can't seem to hear or see Him.
Verse 10 of the same Psalm says mercy will surround the one who trusts in the Lord. ("...But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.") I'm praying for God's Tender Mercies surrounding you, so closely that you can feel His Love, leaning on Jesus.
Psalm 94:17-19 is a very comforting Scripture: "Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul would soon have settled in silence. If I say, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul."

Spending time with God through worship is a blessing. And I've often found it helpful to praise God with music during seasons of struggle, it can direct our focus to His Goodness when we desperately need such a focus (The prayer in Isaiah 26:3 describes the peace of focusing on God: "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You")
And sitting in silence with the Lord is good too. <3 He meets you there, and He is EverPresent and He holds you through every moment.
Here are some Verses I've been holding onto recently, which God has really helped and comforted me through during hard moments and put on my heart deeply:
"Oh, taste and see that the Lord is Good;
Blessed is the man who takes Refuge in Him!" ~ Psalm 34:8
I have often been repeating in prayer, "God, You are Good, You are Good, You are Good, blessed are those who take Refuge in You." It's such a needed and helpful reminder to hold onto, and be held by the Lord in.
"How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings." ~ Psalm 36:7
God has taught me through how chicks that are under their hen don't wonder or worry about whether to trust the care they are in. They are just warm and safe and cared for and they just trust. We are so blessed with this.. God is Holy, with Him is no variation nor shadow of turning no matter what changes in our emotions or around us, and we can always refuge, rest, and rejoice under the shadow of His Wings: in His Presence and Loving Care.
"But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works." ~ Psalm 73:28
Another Verse my friend sent me. It is good for you to draw near to God, where He heals you and carries you. you are blessed to draw near to Him during this time. And He draws you close in His Love.
"The Lord is my Shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake." ~ Psalm 23:4
All of Psalm 23 is so helpful and relevant (a Scripture God has comforted me through so many times over and over)
And recently God spoke to me through Psalm 46:10: "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!"
Be still and know that God is your Good Shepherd with Whom you are not in want.
Be still, He makes you lie down in green pastures.
Be still, He leads you beside the still waters.
Be still as He restores your soul. As we surrender He will guide us in righteous paths. He will turn our every circumstance beautifully around for His Glory.
This goes with Psalm 73:28 too: it is good for us to draw near to God and He is present, drawing us close, so we can be still in His Caring Presence.
It's okay not to feel like we have it all together all the time: God holds us together.
Psalm 19:1 says, "The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork."
I was outside when I first saw your message, and felt blessed with the idea, I believe by the Holy Spirit, to record a timelapse of tonight's sunset -as I have often been enjoying doing, inspired by this Verse- that I can share here. Let this sky declare God's Glory to you.
The God who created the heavens so beautifully lovingly created you, and lovingly created your son.
He paints your lives on a beautiful canvas of His Plans.
The Hand of the Greatest Artist holds you, carries you.
"Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His Countenance."
You will praise God with joy and peace again!
That is such a comforting reminder of hope.
This is a Verse I should hold onto more often. David actually repeats these same words a few times in Psalms 42 and 43, and I should remember to repeat the message to myself.
During moments when I get discouraged in recent struggles, the Holy Spirit has been reminding me: God will bring me through this, I will feel joy again soon, and peace, these are ahead in more brightness and clarity than I can imagine right now; I've struggled before and the Lord will carry me through again and God's praise will flow easily and freely from my lips once more.
When we find ourselves in a dark valley we can look forward to being led out on a bright mountain peak ahead (which we might not see yet, but God does - and maybe it may be one of the very mountains the base of which surround us, which now cover the path with shadows but will be used by God for His Glory and our good), able to look back at the struggle with joy as we praise the God who brought us through.
And we can praise Him now, in the healing and in the waiting (this is a good song about this!) and even in the valley for He is with us. He's with us in the valley. Worthy of our praise. Holding our hearts. You are safe in His Love.
