I feel incredibly honored to have had the pleasure of attending the MFA Illustration as Visual Essay program at SVA! These past two years were some of the best of my entire life. I got to meet so many amazingly talented people and learned from some of the best artists in the industry. Thank you to Marshall Arisman and Kim Ablondi for believing in me when I didn't. I will be showing my new book "Das Deutschbag Dictionary — Joyful Tales of Misery & Death" at our opening reception tonight from 6 to 8pm at 209 E 23rd st.! I wrote and illustrated a bunch of poems inspired by German folklore and 20th-century children's books, fueled with weltschmerz and a questionable moral. Basically a modern-day Struwwelpeter.

This bible-sized pamphlet was entirely made on an iPad Pro with ProCreate. It will be shown alongside much better artwork from my outrageously talented classmates. There will also be free wine and I might wear a ridiculous lederhosen hat.

Really excited to announce the release of my new book “Killing for Laughs — An Illustrated Portrait of Stand-Up Comedy in New York City”!

I’ve spent half a year in the dark corners of New York’s comedy clubs drawing, observing, drinking, laughing, crying, cringing, getting heckled, and drawing some more.

The result is a 48-page full-color book, 17x24cm (6.7″x9.4″), 170 g/m² paper stock, with a thick-ass spot varnish, handnumbered and limited to 200 copies. Comedians include: Marc Maron, Colin Quinn, Dave Attell, Judah Friedlander, Jeff Ross, Chris Gethard, Tom Papa, Greer Barnes, Kurt Metzger, Kyle Kinane, Sam Morril, Michelle Wolf, Lenny Marcus, Mike Lawrence and many more.
