Not so long ago, I discovered Donna Vivinoâs version of âNo Good Deed"Â and I am still not over how utterly amazing it is. She sounds so crazy, which is so good. Also that high F belt note at the end of her Fiyero-riff. Ugh. Too much, too much to mention. Also. ACTING.
YouTube decided to delete the video, but Thank Goodness I was smart enough to download it before that happened, so that I can re-upload it over here, because itâs still one of the beste NGD-performances I have ever seen. (I did not record this video though and I canât find the user who did, for which Iâm sorry. I will give you the right source-claims if you turn up after all.)
Roommates
Silence fell, as Gillain drove. She debated turning the radio on but declined it after a quick glance at her roommateâs face.Â
âIâm going to take a stab in the dark and say that itâs your family, someoneâs hurt really bad and you have no idea how or what youâre going to do when you have to do something.âÂ
â⌠It does have to do with family, but⌠itâs not because theyâre hurt.â Willow explained briefly. She stared out the window, her green eyes scanning the horizon intently.
While she remained unconvinced, Gillain dropped the subject as they pulled up to the airport, âCall me if you need anything?âÂ
â⌠Yeah. I will. Bye Gillian.â Willow said as she got out of the car, grabbed her luggage, and headed off into the airport.
After about a week, Willow still hadnât returned to the UK and had only called Gillian to let her know she had gotten to the states safely and was staying with a âfriend.â
The news was on in the flat, covering some big court case in the US. It was the people against a car manufacturer, suspected of not recalling a car model when they knew that there were inferior airbags in the cars that supposedly led to multiple deaths.
Currently the prosecutor was focusing on the death of one man, claiming he died because of the airbag itself. To help strengthen the case, the prosecutor called up one of their witnesses, one Willow Maheswaran West.
âWhat the fuck?â Gillain watched carefully before googling the case, âOh fucking hell. â
Fio paused in his reading to look at her, âWhatâs up? â
âThat. â She pointed at the television before picking up her phone and dialing Willow.
Willow had just gotten out of the court room when she heard her phone ring. She checked it and saw that it was Gillian; after a moment of hesitation, she answered, â⌠Hey.â
âHey.â Her voice was softer than normal, âEverything OK on your end of things?
âI guess you heard about the trial then? Yeah, itâs okay. Just busy. Iâm⌠Iâm sorry I didnât tell you, I just didnât know how to.â Willow said, clutching the phone tightly.
âHun, if you didnât want to tell me thatâs up to you. Itâs a personal topic after all. â
âYeah... How are you and Fio doing? Is he taking this alright?â Willow asked, concerned as always for her friends.

âI donât exactly have a better idea, but we could charm something of hers to lead us to where she is?â He suggested pocketing his phone.
âWell, that could work. But it has to be something close to her. Do you have anything?â Willow asked.
ââŚâŚI might, but weâd have to pop by her room?â And that would mean dealing with her roommate, âHow fast do you think we could get Wyatt here?â
âPretty fast. Though getting him up may be more of an issue.â Willow said as she stepped aside to let Fio see Wyatt, asleep on her couch.

The mass text came without warning, a message from Gillainâs phone number.
âIâm going home to see Mum for a while, be back soon. Donât come after me.â Â
Ten minutes later found Figaro Rovina pounding on Willow Westâs door, asking for her to be home- What almost sounded like praying on his end.Â
âPlease Willow be here!â He muttered, knocking again.Â
Eventually the door opened to reveal a tired-looking Willow clad in a Santa Claus robe- courtesy of her brother- who grumbled, âFio, excuse my language, but what the hell are you doing here this late?â
âNevermind that- And do you really think thatâs swearing? -look at the text Gillainâs sent.â He stated plainly.Â
âYes because I have manners. And anyway, my phone is off. Because itâs 10 pm at night.â Willow grumbled.
âI think sheâs in trouble,â Fio swooped a hand up through his hair revealing the scars running around his right eye, âWillow, look.â He shoved his phone at her.Â
â⌠Huh. I thought Gillian hated her mom?â Willow mumbled after she read the text. She looked at Fio, a little worried now, and asked, âFio, are you alright? What do you think is wrong anyway?â
He looked at her calm for the first time in ages, âSince when have you heard Gillain call her Mother anything but âGlindaâ Willow.âÂ
â⌠Oooh. Gods sometimes Iâm so dense. Okay so something is definitely up. But that doesnât mean Gillianâs in danger, right?â Willow asked, ever the optimist.
âItâs Gillain.â His eyebrow rose, hand falling and hair following, âAs much as I love her, anything could mean sheâs in trouble⌠Plus sheâs not answering her phone.â Which was an explanation in itself, since she always picked up.
âYeah, youâre right. So what should we do then? Go after her?â Willow asked. She grew more and more worried as she thought about everything that could have happened to Gillian.
