Okay so if you followed my old blog (or scrounged around) you've probably seen the old post, but I wanted to rewrite it because WHY was it so short... So here are the old points rewritten + some new ones :)
Half of it ended up under a read more because I am unstoppable and also I have become more unashamed as time has gone on.
Pros of cuddling with King Dedede
He is exceptionally fluffy, both because of his feathers and the lavish coat he wears. Hugging him is like hugging a cloud AND he's probably large enough for you to lay on top of.
His constant need for attention leads him to being top number 1 cuddler. He is constantly game for cuddling and would do so at the drop of a hat. Even if hes busy anybody hes talking to can suck it up because he needs cuddles NOW!!!
Where the king goes, the waddle dees will follow. This means its not JUST a cuddle with Dedede, it's often a massive pile including the waddle dees. If the king is, in theory, too busy to cuddle it's okay, you still have the dees :)
Since he is a king that means he probably has a lavish bed with the best bedding one could possibly get. Not only do you get some premium cuddles, but you also get to lay in the softest bed possible. Best sleeps of your life incoming.
Since he's a cold weather bird, if you prefer sleeping in a cold room he is ideal for it. Keeps you toasty warm while the room is frigid. There is the unfortunate con of "getting out of bed" but at least you slept well.
Cons of cuddling with King Dedede
He is, unfortunately, a constant victim of kidnappings and possessions. This means that simply by being around him you are constantly in danger.
Cuddling in the summer/hotter months is a NIGHTMARE. You're both sweaty and miserable but he NEEDS attention and love or he'll DIE so you have to put up with it.
He eats in bed and sometimes theres crumbs. You can have a waddle dee clean it up but sometimes the poor things miss a few and you suffer. Also he doesn't share the food anyways.
The Waddle dees, while a bonus, are sometimes a curse as well. You never get alone time, they are always there and always watching. They want snuggles too.
Pros of cuddling with Meta Knight
You get to see a softer side to the "chivalrous and stoic" knight that nobody else gets to see. Both because he abandons his mask for comfort and because he gets extremely vulnerable.
His wings are fantastic blankets, hefty without being suffocating, though you do have to be careful (as they are sensitive) but staying stock still is worth the comfort you get from them.
He has an extremely relaxing presence, speaking of safety and protection. It's so easy to let your guard down entirely around him.
He reads while cuddling and sometimes reads out loud, his voice is very relaxing and softer than usual so it often leads to you falling asleep near instantly.
If he falls asleep before you, you get to gently pet his head and watch him relax more.
Cons of cuddling with Meta Knight
Will literally instantly abandon you if he feels a disturbance on Popstar.
Will also abandon you to go fight another swordsman, you may be one of the most important things in his life but he has to go kick that guys ass right now you don't understand.
If somebody almost catches you two cuddling he isn't seen for 5 days, straight up stops existing until he stops being embarrassed.

Hell yeah....
-Honestly you do genuinely like Escargoon, but it's so much fun to fluster him and watch him hightail it.
-You constantly tell him he looks nice today, or that his shell is especially polished. He just yelps out a thank you and runs as fast as he can away.
-You tell him he's brilliant or smart and he's still flustered but he does genuinely preen at the compliments!
-Basically commenting on his looks will fluster him into running away but commenting on his genius makes him smug.
-Pick up lines genuinely cause Escargoon to malfunction. You drop a pick up line on him and he stops working. Give him a minute or two and he'll finally fully realize that you're flirting with him.
-He doesn't flirt back (mainly because he doesn't fully. Get how to flirt.) but he might pick up a book of shitty pickup lines. Bully him playfully for it.
-If you actually want to date him you have to be blunt and to the point, otherwise he won't fully realize you're being serious.
Can I ask for King Dedede and Meta Knight comforting s/o who is having a panic attack over a small thing (I want to cuddle dedede as he lets me cry into his fluffy feathers and speaks softly to me and meta Knight to cover me with his wings 😭😭)

King Dedede:
-Dedede isn't great at comforting others, he tries his hardest though and that's what really counts!
-He lets you vent to him while he holds you, rubbing your back as you nuzzle into his feathery chest.
-The Waddle Dees bring you your favorite drink and a snack to help you feel better.
-King Dedede will continue to check up on you after you calm down just to make sure you're alright. He will check on you for the next week. Maybe even longer.
-The Waddle Dees also won't leave you alone and will make sure you are safe and happy. You will wake up in a pile of Dees.
Meta Knight:
-To say Meta Knight sucks at comforting others is an understatement. He is a knight first and foremost and a person second, if he cannot fight whatever has caused you pain he's absolutely hopeless.
-He still tries though, he holds you against him protectively and wraps his wings around you. He assures you that everything will be alright and that he will stab whatever is causing you problems.
-He leaves you little gifts throughout the rest of the day and the week, just to let you know he's thinking of you. He also tells the Meta Knights to check on you as well.
-He has Sailor Dee bring you your favorite snacks when he is too busy.
-Dude is helpless when it comes to things he cannot physically fight, but he does genuinely love you and want you to be safe, happy, and healthy.

He absolutely would and we love that for him
-Escargoon isn't used to somebody caring for him so much so even if you've been dating for a while he's still very easy to surprise and fluster.
-You give him pecks on the cheek frequently and every single time he ends up with his face in his hands blushing. You hold his hand and he's absolutely red.
-You remind him to eat and stay hydrated, and sometimes you'll even bring him a snack while he's working. He's so thankful for you because had it not been for you he would forget to eat.
-When it gets colder you make sure he's bundled up and warm. The castle is massive and doesn't have much in terms of heating so its very important to layer up!! If you can knit you make him a very nice hand made scarf that he almost never takes off during the winter.
-If he has to stay up late working you make sure to make him a cup of tea or coffee before you go to sleep. As much as you'd love to force him to sleep you know you can't so you just settle for trying to make it easier for him.
