We understand that some of this may be frustrating. Trust that we, at all times, have your best safety in mind : the information we choose to withhold is done so on purpose, not for for the sake of your confusion. Some things are better kept to us, who are equipped to handle it. You know what you need to, even if it all isn’t obvious.

Besides, you must know better than anyone that sometimes, knowing how something ends is not the best or happiest path.

As for what you’re fighting against, that is no secret. You’re fighting against your curses, and all we can do is try to aid in that. Our methods may be confusing at times, but we trust them, and can only ask you to do the same.

RE : @0323357​​​   |   in what type of room did the incident occur? you say the light was hot enough to set off the fire alarms, yet there was no fire -- please expand on that. can i have a copy of the language recording and attempt to decode it? which gods are suspected? how will magic use be monitored? what are the patterns of the incisions on his hands?

The room was otherwise not in use. Several rooms on campus have been left empty for possible expansion--- we suspect #0072747 either chose this room intentionally or was somehow drawn there.

Divine presence can interfere with electrical systems. It is also possible that #0072747 was emitting fire from his own power, and it was simply unable to be seen through the light.

[ INFORMATION WITHHELD ] --- Other database employees are already working to decode the language, we trust they will be successful on their own.

We are not in a safe place to say who may be suspected, yet. False accusations are rarely forgiven.

There are already security measures on the facility grounds that let us know when magic is in use, and we will be following up these instances more carefully when said use has not been previously authorized. We also ask any sorcerers currently connected with the database to abstain from unnecessary magic use until further notice, for everyone’s safety.

ANOTHER SPIKE OF ACTIVITY HAS BEEN RECORDED.

Alarms went off at approximately 0900 hours yesterday, the sudden escalation setting off automatic evacuation procedures in building D4. Most unessential facility employees were able to safely leave the premises immediately. We suspect this activity was the result of unauthorized divine contact. The smaller flare from a few days previous was likely due to an unsuccessful attempt at the same. At the present time, we are still uncertain if this contact was instigated by a god, or by a mortal on campus.

The point of activity was quickly located to a single room. At that moment the space was still occupied by #0072747, seemingly the target  ( or inciter )  of this contact.

There was bright white light engulfing the interior of the room, hot enough to trigger the overhead sprinklers, yet at that time there was no fire to be put out. The light concentrated to a silhouette in the eastern corner, though we have still yet to identify the presence who chose to appear in this unfiltered way. #0072747 was seemingly unaware of the alarms or warnings of the staff members who attempted to contain the incident, or was otherwise unable to move or respond.

Recordings of the speech heard have been pulled from security cameras, though some of the files appear somewhat corrupted by the disturbance. The language of the voice has still yet to be identified. We suspect #0072747′s curse fed into the power of the divine contact, or the other way around, as he appeared incapable of breaking away at first.

Several higher-ranked staff members were called to the scene in an attempt to quell the disorder, and they were able to sever the contact after a few minutes. As soon as the  ( suspected )  god’s appearance faded, a few electrical fires began at outlets along the hallway, though those were immediately extinguished. Said staff members removed #0072747 from the scene as soon as it was safe to do so. It took several hours before he would willingly keep his hands from covering his ears or eyes, and they were bloody when he finally allowed database physicians to touch him. Samples have been taken.

#0063332 and #0064327 were both reportedly seen in the area at the time of contact, and will be questioned further for possible involvement. Magic use will be additionally monitored for the immediate future.

#0072747 is currently in the infirmary for treatment and monitoring, and will remain there for the next few days. He has reported his vision as foggy, and his hearing as slightly muffled, though both should return to normal soon. When he was first located he was unable to verbally speak, and that ability has been slowly coming back as well. There are several patterns of incisions on his hands from where it appears physical contact was made, though they are shallow enough that with proper care they should not scar. Photos have been taken of the wounds for research into the possible significance of their arrangement.

Three database employees involved have also reported blurred vision and impaired senses, as well as minor burns where they first touched #0072747, and we will continue to observe them as well over the coming days.

All registrants, regardless if they were on campus at the time or not, will be interviewed about the incident.

We understand that there have been some unexpected incidents upon everyone’s entrance to the facility. To have so many fated in one place is bound to have some side effects, and we are working to quell these as best we can. In doing so, we ask for your assistance. We are trying to better recognize what it is we are all dealing with.

No one knows your own curse better than yourself. While facing it directly can be intimidating, it is in your best interest, and the interest of the database as a whole, for your fate to be more clearly understood. And so, this is the favor we ask of you.

In whatever way you choose, please try to take this time to explore your personal curse ; your relationship with it, an incident involving the both of you, an effect it’s had on you or someone around you, anything of the sort. You may choose to portray this in any way you like, through a recollection of the past, a letter, a representative visual, a journal entry, etc. Any interpretation is welcome.

This morning we recorded a spike of unknown, unauthorized activity on campus, a deviation which seemed to bypass a few of our security measures. We apologize for this inconvenience, and will be working to identify the cause of this abnormality, as well as increasing our preventative actions against future occurrences.

We have already received several reports of campus-wide electrical blackouts or surges, strange sounds, and unexpected visions. To better understand this incident, we will be sending a form for you to fill out in regards to what you saw or heard at this time. These answers will remain anonymous to anyone outside of database employ. Response is compulsory.

INFORMATION RECIEVED : #0276372, in our first session, described one vision amidst the test. The vision was reported in pieces, as follows :
