I am not very good with words but I will try to explain everything as much as I can and provide screenshots

In Feb 26 I received a comment asking me to message them on inbox, when I asked what had happened they claimed that someone pretended to be me and scammed them, after which they went and reported my og account alongside their friends. They said that if I didn’t contact tumblr support on DISCORD, my account could get banned. Here are the screenshots

Their account seemed very much legit, which is why I hid their name. I am not sure if they’re were also a part of the scam, or just genuinely trying to help. My main theory is that their account was STOLEN, which is a part of the scam process.

I thought that it would all wrap up very quickly, so I messaged the “guy”( XAVIER LOZANO, who even has a linkedin profile, and has been on discord since 2020, obviously, it’s not the real person, but rather another case of the scammer hiding behind their identity. Please don’t go out of your way to harass him, because I don’t think he is actually the scammer). Basically, they said that not only my acc could be deleted, but that I could also face LEGAL PERSECUTION if I failed to comply ( and by “comply”, they mean give them money obviously). They then asked me to send the money to a random bunch of names in the Phillippines.

First they try doing it with gift cards, online or otherwise, then they asked to send them money through a banking app called WESTERN UNION. ( I will reblog w more pics, tumblr only allows ten) In the end, they also tried doing it on Roblox, and that’s when I caught up, but I had already given them money under the promise that I would just be able to get it back.

I believe they steal your account through that “support” email, and then proceed to message people just like in the pics above. Using a “legit” account to gain your trust. So if you see my former acc @mamuuart messaging you, just block and report and try to spread the word.
