“Huh. I guess it could be worse. So I guess that’s it for now?”

“Can you find another job?”

‘’What?’’ Erica looked between the persons eyebrows to avoid looking directly at their eyes. ‘’I-I don’t understand’’ She added nervously.

“Oh, never mind. It was just a stupid joke. Sorry.”

“Go away. I’m trying to eat my sandwich.”

“You can’t eat and chat at the same time?”

“Perfect! Plus, the owner’s daughter is pretty cute.” She said with a wink. 

“Is she? Oh--are you the owner’s daughter? Damn, you’re right; she is pretty cute. Shit, can you get us like free meals off the menu?”

“Two to three days.”

“That’s not so bad. Do you have an estimate on how much it’ll cost?”

“Sure, unless you have another recommendation?” 

“I know a few places, but the hotel restaurant is close, so why not, you know what I mean?”

Gwen laughed, “Well I wouldn’t watch anyone who hates fun watching my show anyway” She took another sip of her water and stood, “I think I’m feeling better, but now I’m hungry, want to join me for some food?” 

“Mm, sure. I’m glad you’re feeling better. Where to? The hotel restaurant?”

“We could have a ‘studio audience’ that is actually a laugh track and a really catching theme song. The Gwen and Ren Show. Who wouldn’t want to watch it?” 

“Probably only people who hate fun, because we’re so cute, everyone would want to watch us.”

“And I’m sure you’ll get selfies no else has…”

Ren goes to put his arm around James’ shoulder and he holds up his phone in front of them for a sideways selfie. “Smile. Or don’t. Either is good honestly.”

She laughed, “Haha, no way, Ren and Gwen. Well, that’s just adorable.” 

“Your name is Gwen? That’s some coincidence!” He laughs. “If we were like 40, we’d make a good sitcom couple.”

She laughed, “Getting drunk. You should really study up on your British slang more, love.”

“Studying does not sound fun. I have yet to play a British character, so until then, I’m fine with my American slang.”

“Isn’t that the thrill? Having to actually explore the city you live in?”

“That’s a good point. Plus there will be a million selfie opportunities on the way.”
