“yeah, it’s not really a common occurence. and it really can’t be good for you.”

“Not at my age,” he smiled. “Good thing you didn’t topple me like a bowling pin. I do have to admit, I almost swallowed my heart.”

alyssa nodded. “i’m fine. sorry about that.”

“It happens. Hopefully infrequently. Wouldn’t wanna make a habit of falling, I assume it’s bad for the knees.”

I feel there’s worse things than killing, like purposely hurting others. Either way, I’ve done both. One can only make so many mistakes. But I’m not looking for absolution, and those were not mistakes. They were intentional and some of them were lessons.
