I was rewatching revenge of the sith when it hit me. After that movie Anakin would never hug someone again, Anakin would never hold Padme in his arms again. Anakin didn’t know, but when he was so sure he would be able to spend the rest of his life with her, was actually was holding her for the last time before being consumed by the dark side. I know Anakin hugged her at mustafar, but he was already too far gone at that point. I watched this scene where he promises her that they would be together after all, and it teared me appart.
