hey guys!! i hate to ask, but i'm in a lil spot financially. a few days ago i had my first trip to the dentist since i was a teenager (a LOT of dentists in the uk went private in the early 2000s and it only got worse during covid bc of the crazy high-demand nhs backlog of patients), and oh boy. for the most part they said i'm looking okay-ish, which was a relief. i've the money to pay for the first half of my treatments (which comes to just under £300), but the rest of my treatments over the next two appointments are a lot more hefty and are gonna amount to a total of £645

Ratcatcher is quite a hard character to be like yeah read these comics for her because most of the stuff she’s in either SUCKS or is a non speaking cameo. BUT, here are some faves.

Actually this was rlly all on Odette bane only gets out because she keeps him alive and she gets buzz’s powers back AND she gives bane n kgbeast a map of the entire prison system. My wife she is capable.

especially after they're the one who find you having snuck aboard her spaceship. whaaaat, she was just .. curious! she took a wrong turn .. ? it looked cool? there really wasn't a way to defend herself here.
of course the person who owned this thing would be green. what the hell was she expecting? spaceship .. aliens .... they had a tendency to be green, sometimes. superman wasn't green, but she's pretty sure that was a totally different situation. she blinks. the crate full of doohickeys in her arms are now put back where they belonged. ❝ it ain't what it look like, honest! 'm jus'a- wh- WOAH, WOAH - ❞
the biggest bug she's ever seen in her life is running around her feet, chasing the rat she'd brought along for her escapades. odette scoops him up protectively, but the beetle simply curiously scales her leg to get a better look at the both of them. she can feel it's weird little feet tickling up the length of her thigh. she was fine with bugs! honest! but .. this one was very, very large. ❝ oh my g'awd, oh my g'awd, oh my g'awd. okay, okay, okay; y' win, 'dat's huge, tell me it ain't gonna eat nanners, please, please. ❞
maybe one day they'll do an interpretation of bane outside of the comics that isn't white and british or stupid

Odette is an extremeeeee kleptomaniac. She’s not even doing it maliciously half the time, she just is a collector of trinkets and items she enjoys. Odette often talks very fast. It can genuinely be hard to understand her at times, especially on top of her accent. You’re like hey odie what’s up and she’s like IMGOINTDAPETSTORETERRYISOUTTAHISFAVCHEWSBYE and you’ve gotta be like. Okay. ( didn’t understand her )

the people need to know: can odette boggle
i've genuinely thought abt this and i think it wld be so beyond horrifying. like it wld be really funny, but fundamentally can you imagine a person doing this. you wld shit your pants.
BUT. i've come the conclusion that in a way, she does! how boggling works in rats is that their jaw muscle goes behind their eye, which causes the bulging. i think the way it works for odette is that she bruxxes / grinds her teeth when she's excited, and this then causes her eyes to vibrate - it looks almost identical to someone with nystagmus!

aww. odette had found this little ...... thing cute in much the same vain as she did rodents - just painfully adorable, while unappealing to the public at large. what big, bulging eyes he had .. kind of like a rat. that endeared her more than enough; bringing additional children to her flock was just icing on the cake.
their head is given a motherly sort of pat to show her appreciation; though, that isn't what it wants. grubby, greedy hands. brownie, he demands. brownie.
❝ can y' .. eat .. chocolate .. ? ❞ rodents couldn't that's why she kept her stash hidden from the babies, lest they find their way into it and get sick off the sweet. ❝ it's jus', like, y' remind me'a rat, y'know. ❞
nonetheless, her collection of items is sifted through. he was sentient, he knew what he could and couldn't eat. she hopes. inside a crate, in a box, in another, decoy, dummy box - a package of cosmic brownies, handed over to her newfound friend. ❝ th - oop - ❞ they're ripping into it while she speaks. odette blinks. ❝ jesus christ. don't choke on 'em. ❞
