I'm back with a new fan alien: meet Steamsilk! This was made during a Discord VC where we made aliens using two random powers and then a random image. This steampunk spider fellow was made as a result of the prompt I got:
I also drew some inspiration from the Big Daddies from Bioshock. He is a Weaverautoaegis from the planet Rapturia! His main ability is creating web constructs, which are more elaborate and durable than Spidermonkey's (as a trade off for being far less agile). He can also fire webs that are injected with steam to create a burning sensation to the target. His armored exoskeleton is not only durable but also grants immunity to poison, which his species evolved to generate in respond to their predator: they normally would inject poison to take them down. The spikes on his arms and legs allow for climbing on most any surface, and walk on all limbs in addition to bipedal. For weaknesses, his heavy body makes him slower moving when compared to Spidermonkey, and species with enough strength can break free from his webbings if constricted by them.
