Before You Go

Kael let out a sigh, supposing that he really shouldn’t be taking his temper out on Cameron. But it was hard not to be defensive when he knew just the scale of rumor-mongering happening all around him. Normally those sorts of things didn’t bother him, and at times he even welcomed it, but he was definitely more on edge than usual. Still, he offered the lifeguard a small grin and a wink. “Figured I’d try out a new look. Heard that submissives really liked the wounded puppy thing. Clearly must have worked if it got your attention.“ The lawyer chuckled, feeling his spirits rise ever so slightly.

He pondered whether or not to tell him the full truth of what happened that night, but opted to tell a slightly different version, if only because the original variant would spoil the mood. “It wasn’t anything related to the ballroom, if that’s what you’re wondering. I just had a bad run-in with one of my partners’ exes. Nothing out of the norm, really.“ Kael offered him a half-shrug, careful not to jostle the cast too much. “Statistically it was bound to happen, being the ‘other man’ and all. He just happened to have a few more screws loose than I expected.“ Not to mention that he was a trained killer that he had actively provoked, but he left those details out too.

“So I was out like a light for most of what happened during the party. What happened? Did you get a chance to see anything?“

Cameron can’t help but roll his eyes in a more playful manner mainly because he actually preferred it when dominants didn’t act like a wounded puppy. Though he guessed Kael was an exception considering he was able to get his attention. “Honestly, even if you weren’t wounded you would have caught my attention.” Cameron confesses. The man was attractive and it wasn’t like Cameron would be able to resist someone as attractive as Kael is. 

When Kael starts to explain his story, Cameron raised an eyebrow. Did Kael really just say that he had a bad run in with his ex and it was nothing out of the norm? Cameron shakes his head as he looks at the other male. “You mean to tell me that your ex caused this? That’s horrible if it’s true.” Cameron said as he moves slightly closer to the other. He was definitely even more concerned about what exactly happened with his ex. “You dated someone who was a trained killer? That’s a bold move, but still it’s totally not cool what he did.” 

“Not really. Considering the fire happened and ruined the event and had everyone running out, it was a hot mess.”

petal was really looking forward to her day out with jayden. she decided that they both needed this after their stressful night. not only were picnics her favorite daytime activity, but she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t eager to see jayden after he’d cared so much about her well being the night of the whole mess. she’d stepped into a yellow sundress, feeling like it was extremely fitting considering the theme of their adventure. she pulled open the door upon hearing his knock and smiled up at him eagerly. “more like outdoor service,” she teased. it was a lame joke, but it didn’t feel so awkward to say those things with jayden. she gestured behind him and smiled, “it’s so beautiful out today!”

Considering how close they were from their childhood past. Of course there was no surprise that Jayden was going to be so concerned when it came to making sure she was okay after the fire incident. When he figured out that she was, everything felt so much calmer again and he didn’t have to worry. At least not about her anyway. Jayden couldn’t help but chuckle at her little comment about it being more of outdoor service. “I guess you’d be right huh?” Jayden questions with a slight laugh. He looks down at her outfit and he can’t help but smile at that too. Thinking how she looked cute in the sundress that was currently wearing. “Yeah, kind of a perfect day for a picnic really.” 

After the whole fiasco that happened at the event. Jayden was grateful that Petal didn’t get severely hurt. He didn’t know what he would have done without her. In order to forget their troubles from earlier, he decides that maybe a full day with just the two of them would be something of Petal’s interest. Least he hoped that it would be anyway. Jayden picks up the picnic basket full of food and makes his way over to Petal’s room. He knocks on the door but even be for she was answering he was already calling out to her. “Did someone order room service?” Jayden questions as he even chuckles to himself at his little joke. 

The idea of Petal being hurt some where had him sick to his stomach. She had just come to Rosewood and now all the sudden this had to happen? When the fire started the first person he thought about was her. “PETAL?!” Jayden questioned. With all the people screaming it was really hard to hear anyone so he basically had to yell as loud as he could. “I’m coming P. I promise.” Jayden said as he practically ran through all of the people and he did feel bad if he knocked into anyone, but he was on a mission and he just had to find her.

Jett wasn’t a miracle worker, but he would do what he could to help him find her. “Could you describe for me?” He asked, it might help him to better help the other if he knew what she looked like. He was hoping she managed to make it outside before everything got to the point where they were at currently. “We’ll find her, promise. Hopefully she won’t have any injuries.” He said following after him a bit, he couldn’t make any promises. He’d just hope that nothing bad actually happened to her.

“Well, she kind of looks like me, but she’s got shorter blonde hair than me and she is slightly shorter. Wow, that description is terrible I’m sorry. You can just yell out her name though that’ll be easier.” Cameron said as he had to smack himself for that. “I hope so. I can’t really lose her too.” Cameron said as he started to wander around in a rush trying to search for her.

Alex was so preoccupied with moving the fucking clowns piling out of the ballroom out of his way that he didn’t notice the beam hangigng precariously above his head, teetering like a swinging pendulum. It was just as he’d elbowed the simpering dom out of his way that he heard a crack, and glanced up just in time to see a beam tumbling through the air, aflame and falling directly towards him. Alex cursed under his breath, naming Mary, Mother, and Joseph just in time to feel someone small push and tug at him. He stumbled, unaware of his footing, just out of the way and into the grass beyond the ballroom as the beam came crashing down around him. As Alex tumbled, he reached and grappled for whomever (or whatever) had pushed at him, and found a tiny young woman collapsing down into the grass on top of him.

Where the hell did she come from?!

Alex collided with the ground harshly, letting out a low groan as the wind knocked his breath from his lungs. He reached back and rubbed at his head, blinking the haze and dizziness from his vision as he inspected the submissive on top of him. He couldn’t recall having seen her before, b ut then again, Rosewood was a big place; Alex wasn’t guaranteed to cross paths with every single person who stalked its ivory halls.

“Who are you?” he demanded, blinking twice to clear his vision. “You alright?”

The fact that she was even able to push him out of the way was a miracle within its own. Considering the fact that he was so much bigger than her. Compared to how tiny she was. Honestly, Trinity was just in the right place at the right time seeing the pillar almost collapse on top of someone. Even though she normally wouldn’t have saved someone’s life, something told her to this time. It was odd, this was kind of out of character for herself considering she was so into just looking after herself and really only herself. Maybe during the fear of destruction was the only time that was allowed for her to care about others well beings.

When the two of them collided on the ground, she was lucky that he was the one who broke her fall. Though she did kind of feel bad that he hit his head on the ground. That probably hurt a lot. For a second she looks down at him, before getting up off of him and holding out her hand to help him up if he wanted it. 

“I’m Trinity. I’m sorry for pushing you, but it was either that or let you get crushed.” Trinity said as she scratches the back of her neck. “Yeah, I’m okay. Are you?” 

She smiled, holding onto him a little bit longer before pulling away and looking him over. “And you mine,” her eyes watery as she tried to take a deep breath again. “I gotta go back in though and help get more people out.” She nodded, a tight lip smile coming across her face. She attention turned back to burning building that had become a home not just for her but her son now. She turned back to him, “you help the ones already out?” She said before she was coughing again, pulling fully away from him to try to catch her breath and failing as the coughs continued to burn her throat and steal her breath.

Cameron shakes his head whenever she said that she had to go back in there. “You’re already coughing a bunch from the smoke itself. Let me do it instead of you. You stay here.” Cameron said. He knew his mother probably wouldn’t listen to him, but honestly at this point he just hoped that she would. He could probably take in more of the smoke than she could anyway. “I tried to help a few.” Cameron said. The one he was mainly worried about was her right now though. 

     “ yeah me as well. something about having so many options of things to chose from and then the decision is harder to make ? ” miguel wasn’t used to this kind of luxury. just sipping on the liquor and mingling around was enough for him to have a an enjoyable time. maybe that’s why he didn’t go out of his way to partake in half the festivities of the night. “ yeah if you’ve got the influx of cash to make it work ? might as well make it as permanent as ya can. ” of course he couldn’t afford it, he couldn’t even afford an hour at this place. he was happy to spend someone else’s money to allow his stay.

     he shifted to look back in the direction of the building he had just distanced himself from. brows furrowed in confusion as he saw smoke flowing from that direction, there also being a glowing flickering light present as well. “ there a bonfire or something scheduled for the night ? damn they got everything. ”

“I get that.” Cameron said. He didn’t really have to pay for his stay here considering his mother was also here. So she kind of just payed for the both of them. Not that Miguel really needed to know that. Though if he ever figured out who his mother was, he probably would realize just how easy it was for him to come stay at Rosewood. “Oh for sure. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t want to come and stay here. It’s a nice place. Though I haven’t really been here for all that long.” Cameron admits. 

When he he saw the smoke he shakes his head whenever he looks at Miguel. “I don’t think there was a bonfire scheduled for tonight. Shit. We should get out of here.” Cameron said. Though he was also worried about Svala. He hadn’t exactly seen her since he got here so he wasn’t even sure where she could possibly be.

He didn’t recognize the stranger he’d dragged out of the ballroom but he was glad that they were safe now. It was terrifying, the amount of damage the fire had done in such little time, and it didn’t seem as if it would be letting up anytime soon. One of Rosewood Manor’s biggest allures was its secluded location, but that also meant that the vast acreage was far, far away from any potential emergency services. Henry had worked as a volunteer firefighter in the past, he knew firsthand just how difficult it was to put out a blaze, but he’d never seen one of this size and magnitude. It couldn’t have possibly been an accident or some kind of electricity issue, there was no doubt in his mind that the inferno had been started purposely, and that filled him with an incredible amount of dread. Who on earth would ever do such a terrible thing, and why?

The girl he’d rescued was understandably shaken, and Henry patted her soothingly on the back when she thanked him with a sudden embrace. She was very young, too young to be at a place like Rosewood in his humble opinion, and he wondered idly how she’d managed to get herself twisted up within the estate, he himself wouldn’t have been here if not for Lilianna. “Well you’re safe now, love, so that’s all that matters,” he attempted to reassure her with an admittedly distracted smile, looking back over her shoulder and into the grand ballroom. “We won’t be able to get out from where we came—we’re going to have to scale the balcony.” He turned back to her, then, to say apologetically, “And—ah, where are my manners? Wǒ hěn bàoqiàn, my name is Henry Young. And you are, Miss…?”

The fire had just happened and everything was catching fire so quickly. Melody didn’t even realize that was just how quick fires could get started. How did this whole thing even start? Melody wasn’t exactly sure, she just knew that this big explosion happened and everyone started to run away from the flames. Leaving her by herself so she was grateful when someone had noticed her to actually help her out during this tragedy rather than just let her suffer on her own. 

Melody smiles at him whenever he patted her back. She was feeling a lot better now, being around him than trying to escape all this on her own. “Thank you. Not many people would have done what you just did so I appreciate it.” Melody assures him. She bites down on her lower lip whenever he mentioned that they would have to scale the balcony. She had never done that type of thing before, but she was going to do it. Considering as it did seem to be their only option. It wasn’t like they could go back in the way they came. “No need to apologize. I’m Melody Rose.” Melody introduced herself. She looks back at the flames and then back at him. “We should probably get out of here though. It is nice to meet you.”

Jett was doing his best to divert the large group of people storming out of the ballroom down towards the exit. He wasn’t the only one, as many of the guards were doing the same thing. Trying to shout orders or anything over the loud roar of screams and crying was becoming impossible. He was doing his best, but there was only so much he could do. He already had to push people into the right direction so they didn’t wander off into the rest of the manor. As he moved to work around the large crowds he saw a bit of commotion coming from his left. Splitting off from the group, he headed towards what looked like another individual who had just gotten out of the ballroom.

“She’s probably already outside.” He said, unsure of who he was talking about, but he was probably right. If she’d been in the ballroom, at least, she’d be part of the crowd that heading to the exits. “Or, I could help you try and find her?”

Whenever the other said that she was probably outside he shrugged his shoulders. He was having a hard time looking for his mother considering all the panic that was going on right now. All he needed to do was to find her to make sure that she was okay. “That would be great. I’m trying to not panic right now, but the thought of my mom being hurt some where does not really settle with me well.” Cameron said as he started to move motioning for the other to follow him. The last thing he needed was to lose another parent. 

Polaris witnessed the girl getting trampled when she looked back one more time to see where everyone was heading. She could stand there and let the girl lay like that, stranger or not she was small just like her. She picked up her dress and hurried herself over to her aid and crouched down. “Gimme your other hand, we’ll go out the back an’ wrap around.” she reached out.

At least the other girl was able to understand as to why she was getting trampled on considering the fact of just how tiny she really was. Her hand wasn’t hurting as bad as she though it would, but getting it wrapped up probably wouldn’t be a terrible idea. Melody reached out her other hand and gave a small smile. “Thanks.” 

Svala had been helping whoever she could get out. She had finally pulled out the last person she could find, the other guards and doms helping as well, when she came back out of the building. Her hands on her knees as she coughed from the smoke inhalation. She straightened taking a deep breath of fresh air her eyes burning from it before she saw Cameron among the crowd. She made her way over and grabbed his shoulder, turning him around and looking him over before enveloping him in a hug. “I was worried sick you might be in there.” She said knowing he was probably going to whine and complain like a teenager about her hugging him in public. 

“I’m just happy you’re safe.” She said pulling away and coughing some more, closing her eyes as she bent over trying to catch her breath between them. “Fuck.” She said before turning back to face the building. This was not going to be a cup of tea.

So, normally he’d complain about his mother hugging him public, but considering the situation that they were currently in he wasn’t at all annoyed at the thought of people seeing him hugging his mother. “I thought you were in there too.” Cameron said as he hugs her back tightly not really wanting to let go any time soon in case someone were to take her away from him as well. Cameron smiles at his mom and nods. “I’m happy you’re safe too. You were the first person I was looking for during this.” Cameron admits. No one else really mattered.”

And the party had been going so well, too. 

Alexander was frustrated, cursing to himself as he tore through the mess of people pouring out from the ballroom, cursing every time a sub or dom ran into him in their feverish desperation to place as much space between them and the burning building as possible. A classic fight or flight response; God, Alex couldn’t wait for natural selection to take these weak fuckers out. Still, Alex strained his eyes searching for a familiar face among the crowd–namely, that of his Underboss, Raymond Holloway. Truthfully, the mafia leader wouldn’t have been surprised if Ray had accidentally caused the fire himself, but he didn’t want to jump to any conclusions just yet.

Besides, he still had the Valentinas to find, as well. Promises of Tatiana sneaking away to his suite for the evening were chased away as the fire crackled and roared to life in front of him. Alex couldn’t even longingly imagine Viktor Valentina trapped under a fallen beam; the pakhan was far too smart to get involved in any sort of scene like this one, as loathe as Alex was to admit it. 

“For fuck’s sake,” Alexander snapped, pushing a dom out of his way as he tried to make his way up the steps to the ballroom. “Where are your balls?” When the stranger growled angrily at Alex’s reaction, the mafia don lifted his arm and elbowed the man in the face, watching him crumple to the ground as Alex shoved the man out of his line of vision. God, he hated the fucking English. “And get out of my fucking way.”

It was like the world knew that Trinity wasn’t having fun in this place and they just set it on fire. She couldn’t help but smile a little. She was almost laughing at the fact of the irony that was involved in this was just so appealing to Trinity. Though she knew people were scared, but she wasn’t. Though she was still attempting to make her way out of the building just like everyone else was. Even though she didn’t care that building was going down in flames, she still didn’t want to risk her life by being near the flames. 

Though Trinity didn’t have anyone here that she actually cared about and she knew that there was no one here that would be looking for her to make sure that she was okay. It was fine. That way she knew that it was always going to just be herself that she had to look out for. No other person would do it for her and she just had to accept that at this point. 

As she heard someone shouting she already figured that it was a dominant. Just by the way he was talking. Though as she noticed that he was shoving people out of his way Trinity noticed a beam starting to collapse from the flames and she quickly made her escape though she wasn’t sure if Alexander had even noticed that because for some reason she decided to push him out of the way of the falling pillar just so at least someone could say that she did help some people out during this madness. 

“God damn it.” Melody cursed she wanted everyone to hear her, wasn’t sure if anyone did but she at least attempted. As she was attempting to get up, she felt someone literally step on her hand and she let out a harsh scream. “God, that hurt like hell.” Melody said immediately bringing her hand closer to her body.

Cara hummed faintly in response to the praise, a light smirk playing on her lips. “Flattery will get you everywhere, little one.” She teased, certainly not one to shy from a compliment yet unable to find motivation to ensure it continued in that moment. Her mind distracted with far more wicked thoughts. “You’re rather unforgettable yourself.” Perhaps it was simply her job catching up with her, but there always was something to be said for submissives that turned pliant in her hands. No bite, or fight back or bratty behaviour to be found, ones that simply gave in.     

“Well then, how about I keep hold of that favour of mine for now, and we’ll just call it what it is.” She chuckled low, deciding it was hardly a fair trade for something Melody was all but begging for at this point. She would much rather hold onto it in that case. “It’s not a lot - you should see my list.” The domme added, lips curling upwards into a smirk as she went on to mention about taking her to one of those playrooms regardless. “Impatient little thing, aren’t we?” Smiling faintly, she tilted her head in way of explanation. “I can take you down there any time, don’t you worry.” It would hardly have to be a special occasion after all, and the event called for doing things usually taboo on an average day. “But I think i’d rather indulge in the voyeuristic pleasures the night has to offer, this certainly doesn’t come around often.” Cara continued, before her brow raised faintly in response to Melody’s next comment. “An entire day? Oh, darling,” She paused, leaning in closer until she was inches from the submissive’s lips. “Bold of you to assume you could last that long.” With that she closed the distance, kissing her intently as she let go of her wrists - If only to allow nimble fingers to start untying the pieces of lace holding up Melody’s attire. “Now let’s get you out of this dress, shall we?”

Melody giggles a little whenever Cara tells her that flattery will get her everywhere. That was something she was definitely aware of around here. It seemed that no matter what you did, you could always get trough to a dominant by flattering them. That was something that Melody was very good at accomplishing with the dominants. A slight blush appears on her cheeks as she hears the girl tell her that she is unforgettable herself. That definitely makes her smile. Now she was definitely excited to see what the others lips tasted like. 

When Cara says that they could hold onto the favor Melody raises an eyebrow and wonders exactly what she me means by that. She claps her hands a little at the idea of eventually going to the dungeon with Cara. She was wondering just Cara would have done differently to her there. “I can’t help it. I’m just excited.” Melody points out to Cara after she was told she was being impatient. Even if Cara didn’t think that she could last an entire day, she knew that she could. Or at least she would attempt to last an entire day with Cara. As Cara begins to untie her dress she ‘s giggling slightly as she looks up at Cara with a nod. “As you wish Miss.” Melody said after letting her dress drop to the ground. Leaving her in just her bra and underwear. 

It took him a little bit until he finally found the exit and made his way through. “Has anyone seen Savla?” Cameron questioned to anyone that may listen to him. He was hoping someone would see his mom around here somewhere they just had too.
