Hmm sorta. Being around the time being in a mlm relationship was taboo they aren’t really open about it too much. A lot of internalized homophobia still goes off especially in dark. With Wilford tho he’s probably the most open about it. Wilford speaks his mind before he thinks it so anything goes LOL. Over time dark has been a lot more comfortable with his feelings and learned that he doesn’t need to hide things anymore. Wilford definitely helped him be more open with himself which is probably the reason why dark is a lot more outspoken about his opinions lolz. Wilford loves to lean on dark while he’s working and dark loves to hear Wilford talk for ages about his new ideas he’s came up with. Wilford also loves to sit by dark any time he has a chance cause again they’re friends to lovers so yea LOL. Dark likes to put his hand on Wilfords back when talking to him but he’s not really a cuddly person like wilford so those the little gestures he makes just makes Wilford soar LOL

A ‘short’ summary of an au i’ll never write that has gotten way, way out of hand.

So the story begins with Wilford, Crown Prince of Anwall and General in the war against neighbouring kingdom Nevia, is at a bit of a loose end since peace was declared. He and his troops have been making their way back home to the capital with Wilford becoming increasing irate with the long journey, lack of fun, and the renewed lessons back home that will teach him to go from a war driven prince to a peace time king.

So, looking for distraction, he breaks off from his entourage for a while (Magic, space bending powers that come with being Anwallian royalty has its perks) and explores the Nevian countryside he’ll likely never come to again.

And who should he run into, but a grey skinned man near a lake who, after a slight misunderstanding with short swords and death threats, introduces himself as ‘Damien’, and even more shockingly, asks for Wilford’s name in return.

Wilford, who has not had a moment of anonymity, much less privacy, during this campaign, is shocked into silence before he answers. With the prospect of being trapped in the castle for politics ahead of him, and fraught battles behind him, having a handsome stranger looking at him with  no expectations is just too much for Wilford to resist.

“William”, he answers jovially, taking the grey man by the hand and pulling him up from the ground where they’d had their ‘misunderstanding’, “You can call me William.”
