Even though it's not as dark as other darkromance books, it was still soo fun to read because it has that perfect combination of spicy, dark and comedy

I asked myself this question recently; why is it that every morning when I get ready, everytime I go out there are the same thoughts that are stuck in my head.

What if I see a cute guy?

Will my crush like the way I did my hair today?

Why isn't he looking at me? Does he think I'm ugly?

These thoughts have taken over my life and I'm sick of it.

Why do I literally have so many possibilities and so much to life for but the most important thing for me is if a random guy who probably doesn't even know my name likes me??

See here's the thing. I think I'm good looking. I like myself.

But literally every guy I've ever liked has rejected me for some reason and I'm not proud of what I'm about to say...but it really hurt me. It hurt my ego and made me very insecure.

I've become so addicted to male validation that I completely forgot what my priorities were.

So I'm going cold turkey on male validation until it has absolutely no affect whatsoever on me or my thoughts.

Do we all have pasts? Of course.

The past is a collective closet. We all have them.

Our closests are full of boxes, and some of the boxes are pristine, they are beautiful. We love them.

And others are dirty and ugly, or they are sharp and we don't want to touch them. Those are the most painful ones.

Some people pull all of their boxes out of their closet and surround their lives by them and they're constantly influenced by it.

Other people lock up their closet and make sure nobody ever sees what's inside.

There are certain people who take some of their boxes and put them on their coffee table and everytime they walk past it, they're constantly reminded by it.

We can't escape the past but the beauty of the past remains. and the only way it will continue to impact us is if we give it power.

And that is the power of the human condition, of what we're able to do, the decisions we make in our lives.
