Oh my god!! Thank you so much for such warm words, it really means a lot to me to know that my blog is appreciated and noticed. I truly love this game genre and have been in this space for a very long time. I've played over two hundred games and I'm ready to keep sharing my impressions! Once again, thank you so much!! ❤️
Vampire Legends: The True Story of Kisilova
"Europe, 18th century: fifty years have passed since a terrible plague epidemic claimed the lives of all members of the Habsburg dynasty. Now, the subjects of His Majesty face a new threat. In the remote Serbian hinterlands, in a town called Kisilova, a series of brutal, unexplained deaths have been recorded. Fearing a new wave of plague, the residents have begun to abandon their homes. Summoned personally by the Duke of Württemberg, imperial emissaries arrive in Kisilova to investigate and put an end to the mysterious deaths. Our heroine and her companion must conduct an investigation, interview witnesses, examine every nook and cranny of the town, while solving numerous puzzles along the way. Will they be able to uncover the secrets of the local officials and identify the mysterious figure hiding beneath a wide cloak, who is trying to hinder their plans?"
Vampire games are one of my weaknesses. Wonderful characters, quite interesting storytelling, cutscenes. Atmospheric soundtracks, colorful locations. (I just love statues in games!)
For lovers of vampires and 18th century style, this is the one

The Fog: Trap for Moths
"Help Susan find her kidnapped daughter and uncover the secret of the classified military experiment 'The Fog,' which unleashed ancient magical forces capable of inflicting unimaginable horrors upon people!"
The game itself is quite atmospheric and touches on themes you don't often see in this genre. It's a typical kidnapping plot, but when you start delving into the problems, secrets, and questions surrounding the family, you become intrigued. Personally, I found the beginning intriguing. We don't understand where we are or what we're doing—we only see an abandoned house filled with echoes of the past and children's belongings. They give you one piece of information at first, which then changes into something more horrifying as the investigation progresses.
Toward the end, the game becomes too convoluted. It feels like the ending is very raw, unclear, and even nonsensical. The new information isn't surprising and only raises more problematic questions that will never be answered (this isn't a collector's edition).
The cutscenes aren't engaging because their animation is very awkward. On the other hand, the locations and small details are beautifully and richly drawn. I didn't really notice the soundtracks just atmospheric sounds but I wouldn't say that's a huge drawback. I liked how they first immerse you in one aesthetic and then smoothly transition into another, more tense one.
In the end, I wouldn't recommend playing this game for the story. At most, it's good for adding to your game collection, and for those who enjoy themes like military secrets, family issues, and the loss of loved ones in games.

I HATTTEEE being so picky with hidden object games because on one hand. i understand these games are often based on the supernatural or fantasy genre, so there's going to be a lot of fuckery with magic and weird creatures and whatnot. but like.
give me the suspension of disbelief!! i am so tired of these modern games just throwing me into weird magical nonsense with ultra-realistic human characters with glowing eyes that barely move and throw so much on you in so little time, and immediately the MC /detective is just like 'ok so this is happening now i guess!'
I am drowning in a vast sea of nothingburger games trying to find one with interesting character designs and a decently-grounded story. but it's a lot like trying to find a needle in a haystack i guess
*My cry of the soul
I stopped being interested in new "Hidden Object games". I can't stand these vibrant colors, unfinished soundtracks. The banal plot is not enough to feel the game. Lol, they create a villain stupidly for the sake of villainy without meaning. The characters all look the same. there is nothing to enjoy stupidly. I have to replay old games.

Detective × Charles
I like their madness too much
Mystery Case Files: Escape from Ravenhearst
"Return once more to the haunted grounds of Ravenhearst Manor to uncover new details about this poignant saga. What you find could very well be the final chapter of this riveting story—if you escape."
If you enjoyed "Brink of Consciousness: Dorian Gray Syndrome," then MCF 8 should also be memorable for you. The detective returns to Ravenhearst to investigate the disappearance of people. Throughout the game, we will be haunted by the main antagonist, who will tell us about their past. The eerie and frightening atmosphere, reinforced by a heavy plot, should stay in your memory for a long time. The game builds upon the plot of previous installments, but this doesn't prevent you from enjoying it even without knowing them.
P.S. This is one of my favorite installments in the series.
Have you played Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek (2011)?

I love the atmosphere of this game
Whispered Secrets: The Story of Tideville
_________________________________________
The game tell us the story of Tideville. Mysteriously, the main character's son disappears before her eyes. While Clarice searches for Tim based on his tips, she finds out that her son is not the only child who disappeared in this city. To find out who is behind the abductions and strange mechanical devices, you need to complete the game.
_________________________________________
My opinion on this part is controversial. It turned out to be quite boring for me, but the atmosphere and soundtracks are memorable for a long time. What is the soundtrack from the main menu worth, which immediately shows us the seriousness and gloom of the story. The locations and the search for objects are drawn perfectly.I can also note the advantage of the second mode during the search for objects, which makes the game a little easier. The disadvantage for me was that there was no map that could really help, because locations that were no longer needed were not covered in any way.
_________________________________________
Overall, it's not a bad game, but I wouldn't replay it again. I would have kept only some of the soundtracks for myself. To complete the series, you can go through it.
Jack from Dark Parables: Jack and the Sky Kingdom.
Fun fact: I could not find any references of Jack in the game where he’s not wearing a hat, even in some sequel games where he appears, he is still seen wearing a different hat. So I had to improvise in these drawings of him😅.
And Prince Julian, also from Dark Parables: Jack and the Sky Kingdom
