EVAN / Lee Heeseung — “In the Dark”
So, female soloist Youngji had Jungwon as a guest on her show Nothing Much Prepared (season 4, episode 40). At least, the episode was uploaded on her YouTube channel yesterday but was probably filmed earlier in April (or maybe late March).

poor Jungwon had to use the bathroom bad at one point and Did Not Care which Enhypen song she sang while he was gone (he fled as soon as possible, lol)
he is such an introvert (I love it and can relate so hard)
Jungwon got shocked twice in a row during a drinking game

I was giggling throughout and then Jungwon got serious and oww, my heart
But re: Jungwon getting serious during Nothing Much Prepared while being tipsy:
admitting that he’s closer to his members now than his biological family
saying that he personally has never once thought about a solo career and being in a team that lasts a long time is so important to him, because they started together and “I exist because the team exists”.
People are already twisting his words a hundred different ways to say he was a) shading on Heeseung leaving the group, b) somehow secretly saying he wants Heeseung back in the group, c) something something contract renewals and/or disbandment, and d) he’s somehow confirming the narrative that Heeseung was kicked out.
I am annoyed and exhausted.

The X-Files theme playing every time ENHA thinks Jake is lying about Australian facts
Ni-ki finally being able to drink alcohol with his hyungs (since he's of drinking age in Korea and Japan now)
Sunoo being the sassy king he is (and so incredibly tsundere towards Sunghoon)
Jay in stunned disbelief when Jungwon initially splits the team up into Jungwon/Sunoo/Jake and Jay/Sunghoon/Ni-ki (the look of betrayal on Jay's face, lmao)
(Jungwon pairs up with Jay anyway + Sunoo, so all is right in the world)
Sunoo third-wheeling Jaywon the whole time, being Completely Done with them in the record store, and constantly checking his visuals
Jakehoonki having the most adorable interaction with two young boys running a lemonade stand
Jake yapping nonstop about Australian facts & his accent becoming even more evident whenever he speaks English

Thinking about Enha's lore again and how the MVs/Concept films + Webtoons + novels (specifically The Blood of Vargr) all connect.
Closest I can figure out is that the MVs and Webtoons are in a slightly alternate continuity from each other, but everything does end up tying in together. Somehow.
On that note: Is Shion/Sunoo's sacrifice (that's shown in the "Sacrifice (Eat Me Up)" MV) ever brought up in the Webtoon continuity? I've finished The Blood Altar + Children of Vamfield and am still working my way through Two Moons but haven't come across it thus far yet? Unless it's referring to their past as knights and we just haven't flashed back that far yet?
See also something something about how the events of both the Korean and Japanese "Given-Taken" MVs play out slightly differently in Children of Vamfield.

Everything is the same except the vampire brothers get Magical Girl transformations whenever they're about to face down Clan Dardan vampires / reveal their true nature as genetically perfect vampire lords, and kick ass.
also just let them kick ass in general without constantly having their asses handed to them
Actually, the &TEAM werewolf pack should also get Magical Girl transformations ending with them in their wolf forms. Just because. Why not.
IDK, maybe this is due to me being outside the target demographic of teenagers for DARK MOON: The Blood Altar (and its spin-offs), but I do NOT get the hate for Sooha. (Granted, Heli was never my favorite of the brothers; he's a genuinely sweet guy and he and Sooha are a cute couple, but I'm here for the antics between Jaan, Jakah, Jino, Solon, Shion, and Noa.)
I also do not understand the comparisons of Sooha to Bella Swan, when she's clearly more of a cross between Yuki Kuran from Vampire Knight and Usagi Tsuinako from Sailor Moon. Princess Selen is so clearly an expy of Princess Serenity, y'all, c'mon. (And the Kingdom of Vargr is one for the Silver Millennium / Moon Kingdom.)
Like, just... literally the only things Sooha has in common with Bella Swan is that they're brunette high school teens involved in a vampire-werewolf love triangle... and even that doesn't really fit, considering Sooha hates vampires at first and never seriously thought of Khan as a potential love interest.
My main point here is this:
Reread / rewatch The Blood Altar, especially the flashback scenes to the Kingdom of Vargr and Dardan's takeover and try and tell me this isn't the Dark Kingdom arc of Sailor Moon all over again (but with seven vampire lords as the reincarnated magical girls instead).
I'll wait.
Which I guess makes Two Moons the equivalent of the Black Moon arc, but shhhh.

Was I shocked hearing about Heeseung’s departure from ENHYPEN? Yes.
And then I got over it within a week because frankly
It’s none of my business what he wants to do with his career—he’s an adult perfectly capable of making those decisions
I wish him and the members well going forward
At this point I am both exhausted and very fucking annoyed at the state of the overall fandom. Y’all need to calm the fuck down and shut the hell up. It’s embarrassing that y’all are pulling this shit and have the nerve to still call yourselves ENGENE when it’s clear the protestors/boycotters/OT7s are anything but.
also: LMAO at the big OT7 boycotters revealing their hypocritical asses as Heeseung solo stans now that we have more information about his debut. As we already knew. But them being this transparent about it is hilarious.
