Artist notes: OH MY GOODNESS! I loved loved loved this prompt, I hope I did it justice. I really tried to follow the prompt notes to make Gaara flirty and assertive, haha. Poor Sakura didn’t know what hit her~ I also don’t know what it is about Gaara’s hair that I just cannot draw it consistently! I feel like it’s getting better though.

Page 3 is Gaara successfully getting Sakura to go on a date! He immediately takes her down the road to a little place that has good food, but she insists on paying (to thank him for fixing her car). It earns her a second date, where he insists on returning the favor~

I did struggle a bit to finish this. Work has been crazy busy with COVID, and I had a death in the family this past weekend that left me unable to add screentone to the comic like I wanted. I aim to go back and do it eventually. But for now, I hope you enjoy the lineart!”

Artist note: When I looked at the prompts list I was so excited to see Hades and Persephone was there. I wanted to the drawings by digital this time and I liked the result. For Gaara’s mark I combined the initials of three words: Agápi / αγάπη (Love), Thánatos / θάνατος (Death) and Persephone / Περσεφόνη .

Summary:  Alright people, I know this is yet another “open ended” AU from me but this time I didn’t came up with the idea just by myself. A friend and me were writing a fanfic together (in our mother language) some years ago and we were going to publish it in fanfiction once it was done (one chapter every 2 weeks).

The land of fire is an empire whose emperor discovered that all non-human creatures with supernatural powers weaken during the summer solstice every 4 years.

For over 3 decades he has trained the deadliest hunters to exterminate them hiding a sinister motive behind the slaughter. All “human passing” creatures hide themselves or their powers to survive but when the royal alchemist found a way to expose them many decided it was time to run… just like Sakura and Gaara.

But with the best hunter going after them they’ll have a hard time escaping

And then (when we had 7 chapters) she moved and I haven’t talked to her since the old hotmail messenger died (besides she didn’t have any accounts in another web sites and I just can’t find her in facebook). When I saw the vampire prompt in this fanfest I couldn’t help to remember about the story.

So… Jenny, if you’re reading this, please contact me! We gotta finish what we started!… and translate it!
