Don’t go outside if the wind is howling. The ghosts are passing through. 

She already knows everything about you. Never lie.

You may play the flute.

Listen to storms. Don’t talk. 

She gives life to your words. Make them meaningful. Especially when you talk to her.

If she whispers in your ear, listen closely. It means she trusts you enough to share her secrets. 

Words travel far and fast. Don’t say anything that could awake the spirits. 

She has a strong temperament and gets angry easily. Make sure to always be nice to her, you don’t want to be on her bad side.

If she is talking to thunder, leave them alone. They don’t want you to hear. 

When she greets you with a breeze the following morning, pretend you didn’t hear them. 

A sudden draft is always a bad omen. 

Never, ever, complain about her. She will remember.

When driving at night

One of my favorite Sabbats. Why?: It gives me so much energy and productivity I need for the next months of the year.

I know that there are some similar posts out there, but I feel like there is definitely more info about other Sabbats and I want to add something from myself.

When you can celebrate it: 1st August

Colors: Orange, Yellow, Green, Light Brown, Gold (wear clothes which have these colors on, put the candles around or on your altar having these colors, put nice gold eyeshadow on your eyes, paint your nails light brown, make some art representing these colors…so many options)

Food: Important part of this day. Bake a bread. You won’t regret it. Make a soup, I personally think that those spicy ones are perfect for this day. Eat an apple during the break in a job. Drink the beer in the evening with your friends or partner. Are you the lucky one and have enough time, then grill a bit, roasted meats are bae on this day. Add some berries and grapes to your diet for a day.

Decor: I live in a village so I can go in the morning and get some fresh corn or wheat from the field to put on my altar. But maybe for you, the closest field of anything is first behind seven mountains and rivers, no worry, print some great pinterest/tumblr/weheartit photos of wheat, fields, sunflowers or anything that reminds you of summer and put it around. Make a corn dolly. Go flowers picking, like OMG SUNFLOWERS, make them a part of your family.

What else to do: Go out and enjoy the nature. Maybe it is going to be very hot outside. Tan: light brown is a color of Lammas so go on. Is your skin already brown: even better. Share with the food with your friends or family. Make a small gift for your friend that has to do with summer. Go to the swimming pool or to the beach: typical summer activity and yeah it should be summer-ish. Make a picnic. Pray, thank the Mother Nature/Goddess/ Gods, anyone who you believe is responsible for the beauty of August. Make an ice tea with mint. GUYS, I am such a big fan of mint on Lammas: It is refreshing, healing and gives you so much productivity. Go to the forest and pick the chanterelles. They’re still growing. Craft something.

•Reversals aren’t opposites. While some read them that way, many cards mean similar things reversed.
