If the person or being attempting to do so possesses a similarly extremely high mental processing power (some/many Psychic-type Pokémon may qualify), they may be fine, but for anyone or anything who does not, an attempt to read his mind is likely to result in suffering major mental overload. They simply will not be able to keep up with the amount and speed at which his brain usually functions.

Trying to pick out individual thought threads or only getting the gist of what's on his mind from the outside may be possible, but the rest of that incredibly dense, incredibly fast processing will always be present and create some kind of noise that would either need to be carefully filtered and blocked out, or otherwise navigated.

(Depending on the approach, he may also become aware that someone or something is poking at his head, mentally. Although he doesn't have specific training in guarding or controlling access to his thoughts, he may attempt to do so instinctually, or to focus all his attention on the intruding sensation and crowd or force it out/away from him.)

AH, PEOPLE WITH "NORMAL" EMOTIONS. Always projecting their way of being onto the ones who don't, who've surely got something wrong with them, something vital missing from their heads and their hearts. He doesn't know the story here; in his case, it's not as if he could help it.

But of course, they must be the self-centred ones; after all, this is something that's valued so highly by everyone else.
