AH, WHAT A KIND && CARING GOD HE HAS, so blessed be her wishes for his well-being, yet similarly, so wasted. he need not her concern, for his energy is not yet depleted  (  as tired as he may be, he can still carry out his duties !  ),  && it would be such a disgrace for him, as head angel, to burden her, his divinity, with such minor tasks && frivolities. so he attempts to placate her, with a light grin curving up at his rosy cheeks, && tilts his head with furrowed brows, as if in confusion at her words.

      ❛  with all due respect, milady  …  i’m perfectly fine to continue my work. please, refrain from troubling yourself with me. you needn’t worry, i’ll be sure to catch up on my rest once all of my work is surely finished.  ❜         an opulent smile, all teeth && no weakness, is offered instead, as if in payment for his stubbornness. please forgive me, my queen.

          (and yet, were she a crueler god to those in her care, such disobedience would not be tolerated. she holds the vague knowledge that some angels would be punished within an inch of their lives for this: for even the gentle defiance he shows to her now.) 

          the stern affect gradually fades from her face; that charming, all-too-appeasing smile has a way of melting straight through to her heart, making it difficult for her to hold her position. a tired sigh slips from her as she brings her hands to his cheeks, softly cradling them before giving a squeeze. 

She has never let a single thing slip. She knows how to hide her thoughts and her true self… At times she looked smart, at times she looked charismatic, but she remained shrouded in darkness. The Princess is something else. The situation can be black or white, but she never strays from her grey path. She’s a monster. She’s a snake gliding through the shady waters on the borderline, doing business. She is the classiest criminal I’ve ever seen.
