“Come with me, and they will come to no harm,” Vader spoke, his modulated voice low and steady, a flick of his fingers having indicated to the stormtroopers that accompanied him to hold their fire on the beleaguered couple that had fought – valiantly enough, he supposed. Their features seemed distorted, through the lenses of his helmet, and he fervently ignored the memories that threatened to rise. He wanted to be gone from this place – he had never intended to return, not now, not ever. His body rankled from fury and disgust with every moment that he set foot on the ball of dust and despair.

There was doubt to believe such a thing. Doubt that they wouldn’t give him up with more of a fight. Did he care? There was a sense of it, but even so, Luke had always been easy to anger. Kept hidden as if he was something, which shouldn’t have been spoken about or thought of more than a simple fact of being around.

Hatred ran deep, but at the same time, there was a need to do something more. Something else - he just didn’t know what. However, the on side of caution, not going with the other could cause something else; the very thing he knew could happen as he saw it every night, but the how was always unknown.

“---Fine.” No doubt it was the answer the one’s who raised him disliked. That no doubt would cause even more despair, but he knew there was no changing what would happen if he stayed. A reason to why the only possible outcome was leaving and maybe he wouldn’t be kept under watch all the time. “When do we leave?”

“I suppose it would be a bad time then.” Not that he had particularly bad news, but Luke wasn’t going to even go near Vader if that meant possibly getting in his way. It was not just easier, but it was also better for everyone. More so him. “Dare I even ask what caused it or is it best to not know?”
