See no evil, though darkness lurks in the corners, it only lashes out because it doesn't belong,

Hear no evil, calm the storm and chaos within, everything else will surely follow,

Speak no evil, be steady and certain, conviction doesn't always go hand in hand with sin,

It's not enough, embracing the scar tissue of the flesh to be closer,

It's not enough, sharing moments of vulnerability beyond fears reach,

It's not enough, wanting to be able to hold onto something that means something,

Trace each line, each mark with intent, fingertips gliding gently across skin,

Pandora's box was sealed for a reason, vulnerability is a bitch and it comes at a high cost,

A wish is pure and is formed of heart and soul, a want is blindly driven by ego,

It's not enough, vowing to be faithful in spite of numerous temptations,

It's not enough, holding steady when the ground begins to disappear into the poison ivy,

It's not enough, howling to the moon, hoping the stars take pity, and tell the sun to light the way.

Oh my... I think it depends on the person, everybody's wants and needs are so different.

Growing up I understood being spoiled as getting whatever you wanted and not getting in trouble for things in the same manner as my siblings and cousins did.

Now, I consider it going above and beyond to show care and appreciation for someone. Making sure they don't have to worry about a certain task, getting them their favorite candies, snacks, or drinks just because I want them to have the things they enjoy most. Rubbing their back or shoulders at the end of a long day, making a nice dinner for us to enjoy together, planning a night out, taking them to their favorite restaurant, bringing them flowers when it isn't a special occasion. It really could be the simplest things but they make the biggest difference, just to see them smile, to make sure they don't have to wonder or want.
