hi! long time follower here. i was always a nancy d fan from the books but gave the games a try after seeing them come up on your blog. i love them now and especially nancy and frank! question for you. when do you think in the framework of the games frank fell for nancy, and what feelings do you think nancy has for frank at this point?

#holy s h i t  #this is EVERYTHING  #this is the francy manifesto of your wildest dreams  #ahhhhhhhh this is SO GOOD  #thank you for this i literally CAN’T  #otp: relationship talks  #frank hardy  #nancy drew  #spot-on in every conceivable waaaaaay  #i especially love the stuff about joe being a protective friend  #but it comes off as much more manipulative because of how frank interprets (WRITES DOWN VERBATIM) his highly personal message  #frank strikes me as someone who’s a perfectionist and thinks things through in a way nancy hardly ever does  #when it comes to handling his emotional responses he’s HIGHLY scripted  #he knows the *right* thing to say when two of his good friends avert a breakup  #it’s like he practiced but it wasn’t enough  #and he had to write down joe’s script because it was more than he could manage  #but he needed it to push through  #but anyway that goes back to frank and nancy actually being good opposites  #nancy doesn’t think about her emotions; she doesn’t consider them all that important  #and doesn’t examine them enough to anticipate how saying X will affect someone else  #whereas frank is deeply responsive to his emotions and tries to overcome them through careful planning  #ALSO that point about nancy NEEDING her life to stay the same  #probably a huge coping mechanism from her mother’s death  #probably not healthy  #probably a desperately needed safety net to help her manage a constantly changing and uncertain environment  #okay okay  #this has made my week   [via joons]

while i know it’s disappointing that we haven’t heard much of anything yet, i hardly think there’s some conspiracy going on with herinteractive. they wouldn’t have bothered to release character art if they weren’t planning on releasing the game at some point, and it’s not like they’re a group of evil geniuses directly aiming to disappoint life long fans by stringing us along only to say “lol, nevermind! we spent tons of time and money in developing this but we’re not ever releasing it! try codes and clues instead!”
