Bella nodded her head a little bit, curious as to the real reasons she had let the object be hidden away. “I’ll have to see if I can find a place for it in my room. Maybe near my other jewelry or something.” She thought, nodding her head. 

“For something as special as that? I’m confident you’ll fine the space,” Darcy told the other with a smile.

“I have to say that’s awesome that you’re willing to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Some people aren’t all that willing to do that.” He commented, giving a supportive smile. “And of course! If you end u not liking it, we can keep trying different handles till we find one that you like.” Henryk offered. 

“That’s really considerate of you,” Darcy remarked. “Do you go to this much trouble for all of your clients? If so, I think you merit a raise for all the hard work you put into your job. It’s obvious you’re passionate about it too.”

“Do you think I would let you take things that I hadn’t properly fixed or taken care of first?” Ben pointed out because he always did things to the highest standard.

“Perhaps not, but as you’ve most likely gathered I can be a little... paranoid,” Darcy sighed. “I’m sorry to have implied otherwise though. I know you don’t intentionally mean any harm.”

“Actually… there is one way.” Reese smirked as now he was focusing all his attention to the girl rather than the issue that made him so angry in the first place. He would, of course, never admit how grateful he was for the distraction. “Give me a compliment and I’ll pick it up… And I’ll even apologize.” He added, sweetening the deal.

“A compliment? Were you dropped on your head? Oh that would explain a lot if that was the case. Perhaps then we could all consider forgiving you for being so insufferable,” Darcy huffed back, rolling her eyes at him once again. “You realize everybody else in the world just sees trash, picks it up and moves on with their lives. There isn’t some free compliment service that comes with. Just pick it up.”

“I know right! I think it could just be the next big thing in fashion!” Ariel insisted, happy to hear the other’s small compliment about the old bag. She paused, hearing Darcy’s question. “Don’t worry, of course, it wasn’t in the worse neighborhood where I found it. It was in a nice suburb, lying just a bit next to the brown cart that is next to the poly cart. So technically, it’s not trash. It’s recycling!” She empathized the last word with jazz hands.

“I guess if its recycling then it’s something I can get behind,” Darcy considered, still a little appalled by the thought of touching something that hadn’t been disinfected prior. “Are you going to start dressing in exclusively recycled items?” she wondered. “There are some designers that stress on how their fabrics are recycled. Perhaps you could work on your own things of the sort?”

“Is that not what I’m known for? Brutal honesty?” Scarlett teased.

“I don’t know to make conversation?” Scarlett suggested with a short laugh.

“So, I’ve been told by numerous people, including the ones who are the reason that piece of paper even exists.” Reese scoffed, gesturing at the liter he still hadn’t picked up. “The one who ended the world? Wow, that’s quite the title itself. Thanks, Little Hall Monitor, I’ll hold you to it.”

“Is there seriously no way to convince you to clean that shit up?” Darcy grumbled, rolling her eyes at him. “Shut up. You’re actually the worst type of person.”

Ben would be lying if he said he didn’t find the girls response amusing and he bit back a laugh as the item was shoved back into his hands. “Not really. I mean, I was my hands and I will make sure it’s thoroughly cleaned up before I sell it on.”

“I mean I trust that you wash your hands. But items in the trash aren’t exactly pre-washed,” Darcy replied with a crinkled nose. “Yeah, definitely do that. Remind me to not take random things from your without asking where you found them first.”

Hearing her comment, his smile grew a bit and his head nodded. “I’ll be sure to make a note of it. I think you might enjoy it, actually. That grip will help more with your upper arms, just kind of help gives you the feeling of doing something new.” 

“Well I’m trying to find little ways to push myself out of my comfort zone and you’re the professional so I trust you know what you’re talking about,” she replied. “Besides, if I test them out and I hate it I don’t necessarily have to keep using them right?”

“Hm, kind of can’t believe I didn’t think of that.” She replied with a small laugh. “Um, my mom had a similar music box when I was little. It just kind of reminded me of her.” 

“You’re welcome,” she couldn’t help but join in on the laugh. “That’s so sweet. You should definitely hold onto this. The sentimental value to it makes it priceless.”

“Umm… thanks Darcy,” Scarlett said picking up the card, “Are you planning to force me on a lot more shopping trips in future?”

“I don’t really know but it looks like if a banana peel and a purse had a baby!” Ariel insisted as she continued to show the old material stitched handbag to her fellow redhead friend. “Can you believe it was just lying around on the side of the street? What a find!”

“I’ve certainly never seen anything like it,” she agreed, dropping it back into the other redhead’s hands. “Did you just say on the other side of the street? You just picked it up from... the ground?” Darcy blinked at her in disbelief.

“It’s a different kid of handle for the machine we were using earlier.” He explained. “Depending on what you want to do and what kind of grip you prefer, you can use different handles.” 

“Oh I see,” she nodded, looking over the item again. “I’m definitely open to trying it during our next training session,” Darcy told the other with a smile.

“Um,” Bella thought for a moment before answering. “I found it at a thrift store back in my home town. I’ve had it for a few years, but I’ve never really known what to do with it.” 

“I think you could totally use it for decor,” Darcy suggested. “What drew you to buy it in the first place?”

“I found it in someones trash. By that I don’t mean in the bin but beside it. Things like this can be refurbished. Once I’m done with it, it’ll be better than new. There was a whole set of them in fact.” Ben explained.

“In the trash?” she gasped, dropping it back into his hands immediately. “Aren’t you worried it’s covered in some crazy amount of germs?” The redhead asked, pulling out a scented hand sanitizer to clean her hands.
