「人の記憶の仕方には、『事実のリンク』と『感情のリンク』があります。事実のリンクは、『昨日はミスして部長に怒られた』→『ミスと言えば、取引先でも失敗したな』といった具合に、事実と事実をリンクさせて記憶する方法です。この場合、その事実ひとつひとつに『悔しい』『うれしい』といった感情が付加されています」 では、「感情のリンク」とは…。「『悔しい…何でだっけ？』→『昨日部長に怒られたんだ』→『悔しいと言えば、この間も彼氏に太ったなって言われたな』といった具合に、感情を軸に事実を記憶する方法です。いわゆる『思い出し怒り』をよくする人は、感情のリンクが主となって記憶をするタイプだと思われます」 後者の「感情のリンクで記憶している」人の場合、「嫌なことがあった」→「嫌な気分になる」→「同じように、過去に嫌な気分になった出来事をどんどん思い出す」という悪循環に陥りやすいそう。
