Hi besties. Although I wish to never have to make these kinds of posts, it didn't feel right to not make this post as a fan + a fan who writes about High&Low.

I was made aware a few weeks ago that a new High&Low movie would start filming this month. Not much information has been reported other than that, but I was excited to see everyone who returns to reprise their roles as characters we all know and love, and was hoping to see Housen and Suzuran with the Oya boys again even if it's just a small cameo/scene.

Unfortunately, I woke up to the news that Itakagi Mizuki -who played Binzo along with many other beloved characters- has passed away. Although the cause of death was not specifically stated in any of the articles I was able to read, it is alluded to that it was due to mental health reasons.

Death due to mental health is always something that makes me sad, but when it is someone close to my age (he was only 2 years older than me) it makes me more sad knowing that there was so much more for that person to experience because they were still so young.

I don't know what he was going through but hope he's in a better place and not hurting anymore. I send my condolences to his family, friends, loved ones, and other fans who are currently mourning.
