Rio Ranger... But he had all his negative emotions taken away, and only steals clothes from the living( or rather their dolls; he doesnt want anyone to die!) and cares deeply for the participants!

He also bluescreens when given affection because it overwhelms him with happiness. More reverse au eventually!

I did the ManlyBadassHero playthrough and landed on this line of dialogue:

Gin doesn't know how to clean Mew-chan, which indicates how cared for he is at home. He's never had to clean his precious friend because his Mother does it for him, which shows how much he trusts her to allow her to wash his comfort object.

It also shows how much he trusts Sara and views her as family to ask her for help cleaning something his Mother usually washes. It's a big ask that he'd only request from someone he had 100% faith in, and he only lets Tia do it in the end because Sara tells him it's okay.
