the bottle of my everyday perfume is almost done and i’ve been wanting to find something different, but after getting some samples in nothing is really hitting the spot :-/ might just repurchase it but here’s some thoughts on what i’ve been testing
✿ fracas by robert piguet - thought i would love this but it smells exactly like a diary my late grandma gave me when i was 12 (to to the point where i wonder if she wore it). i like a classic, more mature fragrance but the association has made me sad / nostalgic so that’s a no
✿ glossier you soie is a kind of boring but nice skin scent, i get a bit of jasmine and a huge amount of salt. it’s maybe full bottle worthy
✿ philosykos by diptyque - this is GORGEOUSly green and figgy, i like how it’s not sweet. however the wear time is absolutely shit, like it’s gone within two hours. does not feel worth it spending £150+ on a full bottle for that kind of wear
✿ wild bluebell by jo malone - the notes look amazing on paper but this smells exactly like generic sunscreen for me somehow
✿ debaser by DS & durga - could also see myself potentially getting a full bottle of this. good wear time, very figgy and green but there’s a hint of coconut that i’m not sure about
✿ valaya exclusif by parfums de marly - i like a powdery almond scent, i think i’m getting a bit of play-doh from this though?
✿ father figure by phlur - kind of hate how i like this because it’s so popular. it’s a bit artificial smelling to me but there is something sexy about it
much to think about
