Stores were closed, food was scarce, floors and carts were turned into make-shift beds...Those days were just hard. Seen the news about stranded people at the airport? Yeah, we were among the very first people to experience that. We had to battle out the cold temp at dawn with nothing but our jackets on. We had to take turns in staying awake for sudden flight announcements which got us about 2-3 hours of sleep a day. We had to contact anyone who could possibly help us, even politicians and higher-ups. But amidst this, we found solace on strangers we've just met, finding comfort that we weren't alone in those trying and almost hopeless moments.
