Clamping some frayed brushes down after washing helps to form a nice shape as they dry- if you ever have oil paint rock hard in your bristles, get this stuff called Simple Green. It's an all natural cleaning solution that's super concentrated, but if you leave your brushes in it overnight, it will soften up even the hardest paint. It's like a miracle liquid.

This was done at a weekly portrait session hosted by my friend Kellan Jett (http://jettpack.tumblr.com/) at Gamenest in San Francisco. Lots of really talented people there making great work. Not counting breaks, this was probably about 2 1/2 hours.
