Oh, Tumblr
There are a few things I am not fond of with Tumblr in its current state.
I am not going to go into great detail here, as this is not a flame post, more of a mention that there has never been a better time than 20 years ago to begin a self-plublishing journey, self-hosting and self-developing tools and taking advantage of open source technologies and open protocols that interoperate across enclaves, rather than encouraging their silo.
The second best time is, of course, right now.
