Difference between single camera and multi camera in comedy
source 1 - TV.comÂ
http://www.tv.com/news/tvcom-throwdown-single-camera-comedies-vs-multi-camera-comedies-27285/
This source talks about which method is better, it gives examples of comedy programmes that use single camera and multi camera. Also shows the pros and cons of each.Â
source 2 - http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?t=71684 (a post by NinkendoÂ
this post tells me about the difference of how its filmed and where its filmed.Â
Article: There are a few differences between multi-camera and single camera in comedy. First of all, the set. Multi cameras are often filmed on a half open set, like a stage, with an audience behind the camera watching the filming. where single camera is normally filmed in a proper set, not half open. In single camera comedies, there's really just one camera so each shot or angle is filmed individually. a few examples of single camera comedies are: The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, New Girl, Community, and Modern Family. Single camera normally is cleaner, has a bigger budget, is more movie like, and easier to edit as the lighting can be changed in every shot and can more easily handle visual and special effects. On the other hand: as it is more expensive, it means there is a higher chance of cancellation. multi-camera comedies like How i met your mother, friends and the big bang theory are sometimes shot before a studio audience like a play, with few interruptions in filming as the characters all perform together while a handful of cameras catch all the action.  Multi-cams are also infamous for incorporating laugh tracks. Multi camera comedies are Cheaper and faster to make but the familiar laugh track can get annoying.Â

The video features the artist the whole time, he is singing and dancing. and it also features a girl who is supposed to be his girlfriend.. it has lots of quick cuts to match the music. It promotes the artist by him starring in it.Â

the video starts with the band setting up the stage for a tour show. as the video progresses they are rehearsing.. they are featured in the whole video so it promotes the band. Â the first half, when they are rehearsing is in black and white. but as soon as it cuts to the live performance with the audience, it turns in to colour.Â

Lyrics are so basic LOL!!! No meaning what so ever in any of their songs. These tranny looking queers wish they could make a decent f*cking song. I even make better music than these proved to be homosexuals.

How to make a website.
There are two different ways to create a website. You can use HTML or CSS.
HTML stands for hypertext mark-up language and it is when you create a website from scratch using code. You can use programmes such as WordPad to type in code and create a site. An example of a piece of code to use in HTML coding is <p> this is when you insert text to the site. In HTML , paragraphs are described by paragraph elements, or âPâ elements.
Another way of creating a website is by using CSS. This a type of coding when you can use a programme like Dreamweaver to create it, or you can use template websites like Wix. This is where they give you a default template and you can change the layout, font, text and colours. It is an easier way of doing it, but it wont be as original as using HTML. You can change the design by changing the background, adding photos, changing the text and adding videos.
You can host your website on domain hosting sites like 1&1. you have to pay a monthly/yearly fee but this means your website is on the internet. domains are put at the end of a website to show people what catogory the site is.
.com is mainly used, it is the general world wide used domain
.co.uk is like .com but used in the UK.
.org is used for orginisations like charities.
.net is mainly used for internet service providers and other infrastructure facilitiesÂ
Advertising treatment
Our idea for the advert is to make bicarbonate of soda seem like the all in one household product. To do this we will have a lot of products that do a similar or the same job to bicarbonate of soda and put them into a blender or processor and create them into an all-in-one product. We want to start with a shot that shows off the products we want to use, without showing brands. To do this we could use a slider and pan across. Then we will have the products being poured of placed in the blender and blended. There will be splashes of colour and liquid and it will finish with the product being revealed at the end as âThe ultimate all-in-one product.
I believe that this advertising campaign would tell people that the product that does everything, for cheap and can be used everywhere, has been in your cupboard all these years.Â
Awards evening idents

The first ident is a tracking shot through lots of idents with the award names by them. it has a glowing light going through it too. this inspired me to use Oscar themed music and the statue itself. I thought it was important to include the trophy as it is an improtant aspect of the awards evening.
The second one uses a montage of actors and actresses winning awards, with a overnice which inspired me to use a voice over.Â

What makes advertising campaigns memorable
Adverts have come a long way since the Gibbs SR toothpaste commercial in September 1955, this was the first advert ever shown on television and is probably the only reason itâs memorable. Adverts nowadays use visual and audio effectively to get the advert stuck in the audiences head. They want to promote their product/ business, by making an advert memorable. There are different ways that this could be achieved.
Humour â Humour is a good way to make an advert memorable. As normally if you find something funny you might remember it. If you see an advert on the TV and it includes humour that a wide audience get, like visual humour, not necessarily jokes, it is likely that you would tell a friend or family about it. âDid you watch that advert last night for ____ it was hilariousâ saying this is also advertising, because you are sharing the advert using word of mouth. An example of a funny advert could be the Mercedes Benz advert. This is advertising their new stability control feature and it shows a chicken being held by, what looks like a scientist, and being moved about, the head staying perfectly still but the body is moving. In the background you hear the song âUpside downâ by Diana Ross. This advert creates a lot of humour. Rivals âJaguarâ came back with a response to this video where a scientist is holding the chicken and at the end he says âsee, just like a Mercedesâ you see feathers flying in the air and then a Jaguar (cat) with feathers in his mouth suggesting he ate the chicken, The slogan âMagic Body Control? We prefer cat-like reflexes.â
Celebrity â A lot of adverts contain celebrities in them, for example: Virgin, with David Tennant, Richard Branson and Usain Bolt. Celeb endorsements are good for a company not only because you look at an advert and know the star, but also the star could endorse it themselves by sharing them on social media, talking about them on TV/radio or promoting them on posters. Another example of this is the older Snickers adverts. They included a man that wasnât acting very manly, and Mr. T crashing through walls, normally in a truck or a tank, and throwing (or shooting) snickers bars at the âmanâ with the slogan âget some nutsâ This also links in with humour because people see it as funny.
USP â USP, or unique selling point/product/proposition is a very effective way of advertising, it means that this product is different from any other product because it does or can do something others canât. An example of this is safelite Autoglass repair. In their advert they said âIf we canât repair your glass, you can be confident of a top quality windshield replacement. This is effective because it is a win/win situation. If you get a crack on your window and they can fix it, then they will, but if they canât, you will get a replacement. Not many window repair companies do this.
Emotional associations â These are another good way of making adverts memorable, and also sell a product. An example of an emotional advert is the John Lewis âAlways a womenâ advert in 2010. This is about a young girl who starts off in a cot and through the video grows older and goes through life, growing up, going to school, getting married, having a child and finally, growing old. The last shot is the old couple playing in the field with their grandchildren. This advert had lots of people feeling emotional. The advert got a lot of positive feedback. Here are some reactions from twitter;
@Itvmedia tweeted âEmer stamo @AandE made a nation cry with their John lewis âalways a womenâ ad & and we love it at ITV!!â
@danaeshell tweeted âThat john Lewis âalways a women to meâ ad is like an emotional crack. Really lovely!!
It is fair to say, that adverts have moved on a long way since 1955.Â
5 idents
BBC â BBC use the theme of âcirclesâ in their idents. This idea was launched in September 2006 and the idea behind this was that the circle represented a âsymbol of unityâ. The idents include people, animals or plants moving around to create a circle at the end. The circle would then be emphasised with animated lines to then reveal the BBC logo.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_One_'Circle'_idents
An example of one is of hippos swimming around in a circle being seen from underwater so you can clearly see they are swimming in a circle. At the end of the ident the BBC logo is shown.
http://theident.gallery/player.php?id=BBC1HD-2010-ID-HIPPOS-1
ITV â ITV idents include the colourful scene playing and then the ITV logo fades in the middle left of the screen. As the advert plays on, the ITV logoâs colour changes depending on the background colour. The logo it trying to blend in so it does steal your attention from what the voiceover is trying to tell you.
http://theident.gallery/player.php?id=ITV-2013-ID-BOXER-1
Channel 4 â Channel 4 idents are aimed at the younger audience as it consist of a scene where at a certain point creates a number 4. It can be seen as a game, and people look forward to the channel 4 idents to see if they can find the 4 which brings viewers to the channel
http://theident.gallery/player.php?id=C4-2007-ID-TOKYO
Channel 5 â Channel 5 idents use a lot of animation and visual effects. An example of one is with a lady in a black dress walking, when suddenly the red wall collapses into thousands of little red block which re-assemble themselves to create a red carpet for the lady to walk on. She then flicks her hair and the channel 5 logo appears.
http://theident.gallery/player.php?id=FIVE-2011-ID-CELEB-1
Sky 1 â The sky 1 idents normally consist of actors from a Sky 1 programme. These idents donât only promote the channel, but also the programmes they show. An example of one is âthe Kumarsâ where the family fight over the remote control. One of the men press a button on the remote and the Sky 1 logo appears. Finally the older lady finds a âsafeâ place for it.
http://theident.gallery/player.php?id=SKY1-2014-ID-KUMARS-2
History of BBC idents - BBC showed its first ident in the early 1950s when they displayed a logo between programmes to âidentify its service.â They have evolved from black and white stills to colourful short films that are seen today. With the arrival with new channels, branding is seemed to be more important, idents need to stand out from their competition.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_BBC_television_idents
1960s - Very basic ,TVARK ident was just the logo with colours in the background.
1970s - a spinning blue and yellow globe with the BBC1 south logo.Â
1980s - an updated version of the spinning globe ident. better graphics and more 3D
1990s - another updated version of the globe idents
2000s - .ballonas flying over fields. thorught the sky.Â
Opportunities â Idents can help rebrand a channel, change the target audience and make it stand out to their competitions. A good ident will attract a lot of new people to the channel.  Before all this, they were set out to give the channel an identity.
Limitations â When a producer wants to make an ident for a TV channel, BBC 1 for example, there are lot of limitations. First of all the ident needs to fit in with the theme of the channel, so Circles for BBC1, it needs to include the font they use and the colour scheme. This is so it still fits in with the company. Â Also It needs to be a short length of time so between 15 and 30 seconds.Â

FIlm trends and Promotions
Film Trends - One of the most popular film trends out there is Superhero films. Superhero films have been really popular recently as a lot have been released. This year alone saw Robocop, Captain america 2, The amazing spiderman 2, X-men days of future past and more. Marvel are the most popular Superhero film creators. If someone watches a Marvel Superhero film and likes it, chances are they will go and see more if released.Â
Promotion - There are a lot of different ways to promote films. the first, and most popular way is advertising. This could be done by creating a Film poster, this could have a graphic from the film, with the actor or actors that appear in this film. This is effective because if people see the poster with an actor they like, they would want to go and watch the film.Â
Another way to promote is talk shows. you see a lot of actors and actresses going on chat shows, you think they have been invited but they are sent there by production company to sell the film. they will go on, talk about the film, they will then show the trailer and anal Carr will go on about how he's seen it and loved it, most of the time he's lying.Â
Another way that has been popular recently is social media. Twitter pages have been created to advertise the film and they tweet as if they were the character. you get ads and promoted tweets. and also adverts on Facebook and other social media sites. They also could include games for fans to play.

Advert Evaluation
for my campaign I made an advert for Dr. Oetkerâs Bicarbonate of Soda. I worked with jack masters and we had the idea to brand Bicarbonate of soda as "The ultimate all-in-one product"Â
Communication issues meant that i didn't film with jack in Winchester when i should of. I'm happy i got the opportunity to film again as i wasn't happy with an ungraded advert. Some feedback i got was that we could see the product at the end, it was a snappy edit, good framing and it was a good idea. I got a few negative comments to like: The text at the beginning was too short, the look of the text wasn't good, and it needed more emphasis. When making the advert i tried to sync the music up with the splashes of colour from the blender, i thought i did quite well on this. I also used some text, but the font wasn't good and it wasn't up for long enough.. I was pleased with my editing as it was quick and straight to the point. Overall i was fairly pleased with my advert.
When i told Steve that i didn't film he brought me to one side and told me that i will have to redo it as it couldn't be graded if i havenât filmed it. I was okay with this, so i filmed another advert with the help of Cam. i got that edited and sent it to Steve to mark. The only bad feedback i really got was the text needed to be up for a bit longer.Â
In the new advert, i changed some of the shots, lit the shots better, and also changed the font. i used a font called âLobsterâ which Tim recommend to me as it was close the Bicarbonate of soda Font.Â
After all, i ended up with a pass. iâm not entirely happy with this but iâm glad i passed.

HDTV
80 years ago, TV was just a blurry black and white image, you couldn't really see the picture very well and the quality was terrible. But today, televisions have stunning HD colour images, with an amazing amount of detail and a sense of realism.
in 1954 RCA released the first ever commercially available colour television and in the 60s the black and white to colour transition was nearly complete.
The roots of modern day HDTV came from the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation in Japan in the 1970s. The society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers or the SMPETE was formed in 1977, they recommended "the definition of wide screen format and 110-line scanning structure" HDTV was first demonstrated in the united states in 1981, it caught a great deal of interest.Â
35 years later, and HDTV has blown up in the market place. A lot of "HD buzzwords" float around today. for example: HD ready, HD compatible and integrated TV.Â
is HD really better though? you can make the comparison by looking at today digital cameras. When digital cameras first got on to the market a good camera had a 1.6 mega pixel image sensor. At the time, that was considored to be fairly high. whereas today, you can easily find cameras with 5 and 6 mega pixel image sensors. with better quality and for less money.
TV and film needed to do a lot of work to make the change between SDTV and HDTV. First of all, set designers would need to put more detail on the set, before HD you couldn't really see much detail on the set, so they could get a way with scruffy paint work and a rough finish. Now the film in HD, the set can be seen in much clearer detail so they need to make sure it looks smooth and clean.Â
