Band of the Week 7: Foxy Shazam!

Where to even begin with Foxy Shazam? If Queen met modern pop-rock, Foxy Shazam would be the result. Foxy Shazam was an insanely fun glam rock revival group from Cincinnati. While they had some cool stuff like a trumpet/horn player, the crown jewel of Foxy Shazam was the incredibly flamboyant mustachioed vocalist Eric Nally (Yes, the guy from Downtown). Eric Nally has one of the most incredible and extensive voices I’ve ever heard, spanning over 5 octaves, from C2 to E♭7. His crazy antics, Freddie Mercury-like voice and appearance, and his band’s glam rock style and crazy, wild shows and music are definitely worth the listen. This band is very near and dear to my heart. 9.5/10

Genre: Glam Rock, Hard Rock, Alt Rock, Pop-rock.
