I was planning to draw fan art for one of the like 8 games I’ve been (re)playing recently but I ended up drawing Raraka lol

Her design has been updated a smidge and will be updated/finalized further later on; her bag definitely needs to have like. a ton of buttons/patches on it. or at least a couple. but i didn’t feel like doing all the research & designing that would call for lmao.

I may as well exposit some more about her while I’m here! The only info I mentioned about her before is that her talent is the Ultimate Landscaper. The setting of DR:G is 20 years-ish post-SDR2, and (almost) all the members of Raraka’s class were scouted because of the contributions they’ve made to the gradual recovery from the Tragedy. Raraka’s talent is one of the most prominent manifestations of this; in addition to her research being the foundation of several of the others’ accomplishments, she spent her years at Hope’s Peak working with Kounosuke and Sumika to develop viable terraforming technology and methodology. Which the mastermind managed to get their hands on somehow, and as a result, their class gets trapped in a killing game almost immediately upon graduating…

Yawara Kenshou, the Ultimate Director! I had to rework her hair style a few times in the sketch stage and I went back and forth on her color palette for a while but WORTH IT because I’m super happy with the end result!! o3ob

I’ve been limiting the blush patches to characters who actually wear make-up (with the exception of Kounosuke, whose face is just… like that lol), which is why sometimes you see ‘em, sometimes you don’t, lol.

Hosei Kirigiri, the Ultimate Forensic Scientist! Yes he is a Naegiri fankid lmao. He was given Kyoko’s surname because her surname means a lot to her and Makoto doesn’t have that same level of emotional attachment to his, nor a long-standing family legacy to feel responsible for. The kanji for “Hosei” ( 反誠 ) do contain the kanji from Makoto’s first name ( 誠 ), though, just read differently. (I put a lot of thought into his name okay no way am I not expounding on it at least a little lol.)

I’m getting faster at churning these out now that I have the sketches done for every character. I’m considering doing a prologue/prequel of “FTEs” with the cast before I start writing the killing game fic, since the cast will have been classmates for three years prior to the killing game and those memories won’t be tampered with. It’ll help me get used to the format I want to use for the killing game while being made up of shorter, easier scenes to write, and I won’t need to bog down the killing game demonstrating what all these established relationships are like.

Still kind of an overly ambitious idea that I’m groaning at myself for, but… I’d really like to do it, so here’s hoping I’ll be able to make myself do it. 8′D
