Beyond had been lying on his bed, face buried into one of the pillows as he sobbed, having hoped the bedding would silence his crying enough that Damien wouldn’t hear. But, as these things went, Damien had found him; he hated that his son was seeing him in such a miserable state, but all he could do was breathe, sobs catching in his throat as he tried to silence them once more.

Someone rudely brought to my attention in a rather harsh way that my absence has made everyone forget I even exist, thus rendering myself as unnecessary here.
