But let me go into who this post is for anyone apart of the LGBTQIA+ terminology. So for all of my fellow lesbians, gays, bisexuals, trans, queer, intersex, agender, aromantic, asexual, poly people. Anyone that falls outside of the allonormative cishetero monogamous structure then this is for you. Now let's get into it!

In honor of pride month I want to do a daily answer as your dr self question (If I run out of pride themed questions I might just do it in general)

Now let's really get into it....

Question 01: What part of the LGBTQIA+ umbrella do you fall under? Are you the same identity in numerous realities? Follow up (if you feel like answering of course) How did you discover your identity and what does it mean to you?

Okay this is the first question of the month! You can get as deep as you want!

If you support queer people until they use multiple labels or micro labels, you are queerphobic.

If you support trans people until they are not conventionally attractive or do not fit into traditional gender roles, you are transphobic.

If you support queer people of colour until they criticise the present racism within the queer community itself, you are very much racist!

Being in the community itself does not exempt you from being bigoted.

⤷ Soulaan/Soulaani or "Soula" translates directly to "the people of soul." Soulaans/Soulannis are black people who are descendants of enslaved Africans.

⋮ ⌗ 1┆Food

Many foods that Soulaans enjoy derive from West Africa. The Soulaan cuisine consist of legumes, rice, beans, leafy greens, and various meats. Some examples included: red beans & rice, fried green tomatoes, gumbo, cornbread jambalaya, collard greens, yams, catfish, fried chicken, black eyed peas, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, candied yams, dirty rice, smothered pork chops/chicken and rice, oxtails, chicken and waffles, okra and tomato stew, fried okra, peach cobbler, red velvet, pound cake, banana pudding,etc.

Hair is very important to Soulaans, our hair is like no other. It grows towards the sun! Of course we take it very seriously! Some Soulaan hairstyles include: goddess braids, box braids, Fulani braids, butterfly locs, soft locs, micro braids, sew-ins, lace fronts, leave outs, knotless, braids, afro, passion twists, goddess locs, cornrows, afro puffs, silk presses, waves, line ups, fades, etc.

New Jack Swing, Funk, Jazz, Blues, Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, New Orleans Bounce, Drill, Be-Bop, Beat boxing, Scatting, Trap, yes even genres like Rock n Roll was pioneered by Soulaans!

Now these are more so closed cultural practices so I won't be expounding. I didn't put Christianity because in my humble opinion I don't believe that the religion that was used to colonize my people should be practiced! Now in your Dr you can do whatever you want, but here we practice our cultural customs!
