Extremely hot take for some of you i’m sure. But the fact that you will give packs 400 notes that literally admit to taking gifs from packs and gif sets and cropping them and redistributing them without asking (some were mine and I know I did not give permission and say don’t alter my colouring to people who do want to crop them, and a lot were from SETS not gif packs, which NO), completely destroy them with a yellow/washed out psd, and saying they wont remove them but will credit if asked. And the original packs and gifsets all having under 50, most under 30 reblogs is the fucking most disgusting thing in this community I swear to god.
I hope you don't take this the wrong way but you can't own gifs that are made out of material you don't own. I keep saying this and I feel like no one is listening so maybe reblogging a popular creator is the solution. You put frames together and exported them, but that doesn't entitle you to anything involving the media. Barring times when people admit it, it's impossible to tell if someone took the gifs from you or if they just used the same frames you did. It's not your material to claim copyright over, and the more you try, the more at risk you are of having a large company take you to court for infringement and earning money off their intellectual property.
There are more disgusting things going on in the community and in the world than edited gifs. Please simmer down a bit. You have to accept the fact that you can't control something like this, and you also don't have any right to. I don't mean this to be rude but it just strikes me as a lot of shit over not much. It may be better for your mental health to come to terms with non-ownership than let it get to you so bad. I see a lot of people who get upset over things like this, but there are bigger fish to fry. I promise it isn't the end of the world.
I know people are probably going to take this wrong but it's not meant as a callout or anything, just constructive criticism. I used to make gif packs on deviantart and it was just easier to accept that my gifs weren't going to be used the way I wanted than raise my blood pressure over some pixels. No shade or anything I promise, but it isn't worth the anger.
