Jax is quite literally the Mabel of this story and hear me out

Mabel Pines is a character who is often in her own world and sees joy out of things, ultimately being lost in her own world to the point where it messes up her own relationships and creates conflict bexause of her desires and ideals, she doesn't intend to hurt anybody but shes so stuck in her head that she doesn't take anyone else seriously (one of the biggest victims is dipper who tried taking her emotions seriously before and she just wanted to push him away so she can stay where she felt comfortable in; *which was her own head where things were safe*) and gets puts in a situation during the bit where Maple had to choose between pressing a button to either to stop a black hole portal created by their insanely mysterious uncle that could end up destroying the entire universe or to let it go on for longer or let it go on for longer to let grunkle achieve his dreams

Shes also had a few antagonists use her to help drive the plot by using her naivete or her sheer raw emotion against her and against those around her and the second she usually gets confronted with this she gets upset because it's far too *real*

JAX DIGITAL CIRCUS. Tends to be more cynical and nihilistic however she shows to be very similar to Maple pines. Shes way more often than not stuck in her own head and when things are fun and smooth sailing, there's no issues, she probably prefers to stay in idle where she doesn't realize how real things are and sometimes she literally cannot control the fact that shes *not all there* and often stuck in her own head or in la la land, she had to choose between letting the circus press the button to potentially escape the circus (which her gut is screaming that the whole scenario is bull, she doesnt wish to face the real world but she trusts her image of Caine enough that this is not as good as it may seem ) (which is correct she tends to be very observational and one of the most observant characterS in the whole show even more so than the person who wishes to please everyone) or stay in the circus where things seem a lot more *safe*, where things are not real, where she doesnt have to face the consequences of her own actions which is the safest option to choose

Her own delusional ideals and her inability to take things seriously causes tension she didnt realize that was caused, she gets uoset when she gets confronted or when she has to confront them (the way ribbit pried open and thr way pomni did try to pry as well she had such a negative reaction as well) I'm pretty sure she'd prefer if everything was just silly and no one took things so seriously despite being one of the most emotionally driven characters in the series

Both of these two are so emotional that it becomes a core part of their character flaws and it intercepts in with what the right choice truly is
