lukaabel:
Luka had heard enough of the news of shootings in his day, but he never thought itâd happen while he was in the States. Walking down the hallway, he was void. Nothing he could say or do would show the shock he was in. His teeth gritted together as he made his way down the hallway, hands in pocket. The boy didnât even speak as he approached Daisy, he just sat in the chair beside her.
There were no tears in her eyes that were trained on the tiles under her feet. But just because she was having an internal breakdown and not looking, that didn't mean she didn't notice the added presence next to her. She bit down on the inside of her cheek and dared to look at the boy. She knew he was here just for Maggie. "She'sâumâ I don't know where they put her," she looked back down at the groud while she mummbled loud enough for him to hear, "Theyâ the, uh, doctorsâthey took her and I don't know where she is." She felt unexplainable guilt that Luka would've been here to see Maggie and she had no way of helping him.
