ART IN THE TIME OF COVID-19
It’s been almost a year since the first case of Covid-19 was detected in the Philippines. At first, most of us did not think that this pandemic will be this serious, causing thousand of deaths and illness. The government, hospitals, companies, and ordinary people, none of us were ready for it. To think that the Philippines is a third world country, surviving this pandemic is very challenging for us since lots of people lack in financial resources, some hospitals are not well-equipped, some doctors and nurses are also being infected, and the lack of effective plan by our government.
The Covid-19 indeed affected our lives in a negative way. However, we cannot let this virus stop our lives because we all need to fight. This pandemic made me appreciate our frontliners more because they put their lives on the line just to fulfill their duties. Doctors and nurses do everything to save even one life; traffic enforcers still guide our ways; vendors did not stop selling goods for us; deliverymen provide us convenience by delivering goods door-to-door; and janitors still clean for us.
This is a very hard time for all of us. However, there are still people who give their best efforts just to serve us. These people are those in the frontlines, and all of them are very important and crucial in this situation. This simple art of mine is a tribute to all frontliners out there. They deserve all the love, support, and appreciation because without their efforts, surviving this situation will be more difficult for us. Again, thank you, frontliners!
